The separation could have been done in several ways. There could have been a fight or misunderstanding between Raghav and Kalpana. But no. They have to bring the nonsensical marriage track.

I think somewhere along the way they have lost track of what they want to say or do. The story could have been so nicely shown with Kalpi achieving her dreams and Raghav achieving his revenge, no but they had to give Pukey importance but then they realized the audience loved Ragna so why not cash in on that... But then that made other actors insecure so they had to botch up Ragna... All in all they made a hotch potch of what could have been beautiful!!!

So they are stretching things like a rubber band but rubber bands when stretched too long can break and that's what's happening in EMA...
