I will reply to the Questions Properly soon but main reason for sports othet than it keeps u fit and active is the mental Benefit and enjoyment u get from playing.

Important because it gives us all something to do when we're bored.

I play because I love it and keeps me fit!! 😃 😳

the main benefits of sports will always be the fitness factor of it,
then it will be the enjoyment side of it

i personally play sports so it keeps me fit and nowadays its the only time i can meet up with my mates
