Abhay saw Khushi standing in a corner of the terrace, her face turned upward. Evening breeze playing with her few lose tendrils.

Winter was in the corner and the wind was cold and soothing.

He inhaled deeply taking the fresh air in his lungs as much as he could. He walked to her direction and stood by her side.

Khushi felt Abhay's presence but stayed just the way she was standing. She knew that they didn't need to acknowledge their presence to each other. They were attuned to their footsteps, body language and even silence. They could just stand in silence and understand each other just by watching the other's face. It was the result of years of association and bond they shared.

Khushi had left after the mess in the morning, leaving Abhay in charge and then she had sent NK from headquarter, but stayed herself there in pretext of some research about the case.

She had only come back an hour back only to be welcomed by Arnav's glare and Anjali's scowl.

Other members were not around that time to express their feelings.

Akash and Shyam were still in office, as Arnav was still recovering so they needed to attend his share of meetings too.

Devyani was in her room to bestow Khushi with her kind of greeting.

She had just ignored them and had called NK and Abhay in for a meeting in the study to update them with her latest findings, which was nothing. Still she gave them a report of what were the measures she had taken and then had straightaway come here.

She was tired Abhay could see that, but she wouldn't admit he knew that too. So he came to the point he had been meaning to talk about since morning.

"That was quite rude in the morning."

Khushi lips stretched in a smile, though her eyes stayed closed.

"Just rude?" She cocked one shaped brow as she now turned to him.

The left corner of his lips lifted in a smug smile as he added, "Nope you acted quite like an arrogant bitch."

She now laughed openly. "I did, didn't I?"

Abhay smiled seeing her laugh, it was a rare treat.

"But why? You don't act proud otherwise." Khushi heard Abhay ask.

She sobered up and answered his question with one of her own, "Didn't you figure it out already?"

Abhay smirked. "If I lie then it will only prove myself an idiot and not suitable for my job." Khushi pressed her lips to stop herself form grinning.

"It was hilarious this morning to see the face of the Arnav Singh Raizada. He had looked like struck by thunder."

Khushi chuckled.

"So how long you two know each other?" he asked curious.

"Two months.' Khushi replied simply.

Abhay quirked his brow surprised but said nothing.

A comfortable silence stayed between them before Abhay broke it, "So you like him."

It was a statement and this was time for Khushi to look surprise.

Abhay sighed as he continued "Or else you wouldn't have tried to keep him away from your life, before and now."

This time Khushi smiled ruefully before going back to staring.

**

"What were you thinking, when you started a relationship with him" it was NK who had appeared behind them from thin air.

Khushi turned on her heels and looked straight in his eyes before saying "it's not good to eavesdrop from the creepers." She pointed through her eyes the place where NK was till then, letting him know they were aware of his presence.

He scratched the back of his neck.

Abhay smacked his head earning a scowl, but he cared less.

Khushi saw both the boys looking at her direction with a look which said please enlighten'

She sighed, "I didn't want to, but for the first time I lost control over myself... she trailed off.

NK pouted considering her words and then said, "Then we have to give it to the Raizada, who could make you lose control, so how is he..." he winked to tell her what exactly he meant to ask, earning a blow on his groin from Khushi, as it contacted with her knee rapidly.

"F"ck Khush!" He exclaimed as he crouched down covering the place with his palms.

Abhay only smirked.

"Do you need any more details?" Khushi asked closing her arms under her bosom.

In answer NK only groaned, sitting cross legged on the ground.

**

Abhay turned towards Khushi, who had walked to the other corner of the terrace. He gave his hand to NK, who looked at him in disbelief but anyways took his help to stand up. Together they walked to her.

"Why don't you take this chance? When he is so willing?" Khushi heard Abhay asking from behind her.

She didn't turn as she replied "Because we are cursed. And who knows that better than us?"

**

A silence descended upon the place as the three guys watched the sundown. All had a grim and lost look on their faces.

Abhay closed his eyes as a burning house and then some burned body and scattered limbs flashed before him. A tremor ran down his body.

He felt Khushi's hand on his shoulder and smiled faintly before hugging her to his side.

**

Khushi sighed as a bloodied body and two pair of accusing eyes refused to leave her memory and right now played in front of her eyes like a film.

NK saw the distant look in her eyes and knew exactly what she was thinking. He knocked her head lightly with his and that did the trick bringing her back from the memory lane.

Both of them smiled at each other before going back to watch the setting sun.

Another pair of eyes watched them from the entrance of the terrace, standing together, Abhay draping a hand around Khushi's shoulder, NK knocking her head lightly with his and all of them stood in a serene silence.

If only he would have heard their conversation, he would have known that the silence they shared was thick with pain, grief and past.

**

Arnav paced the length and width of his room. His face taking all shades of green.

He had gone to talk to Khushi to clear things, knowing that she was in terrace, but what he saw made him turn on his heel and leave the place in that instant.

The three of them were talking closely and then the exchange between them. No doubt they shared some special bond with each other. And that bothered him.

Because that was exactly he wanted with Khushi apart from the physical intimacy they shared.

A bond, where they could share their heart and mind with each other, but she never gave him the opportunity and witnessing some other men had the same luck, made him angry and of course jealous to an extent that he feared that he might break their head so he left.

But he couldn't sit in peace since he had come back to his room.

He needed to talk to her and now, so again he left his room in search of her.

**

After looking every corner of the mansion when he found no trace of her he turned to go back to his room when he saw NK going out and stopped him.

"Where is Khu... I mean Miss Gupta?" He asked him sternly.

NK looked at him amusedly before replying, "They have left."

"When and They?" Arnav asked confused.

Nk smiled mischievously before clearing his doubt, "Abhay and Khushi, they left."

As expected Arnav's eyes turned red as he said curtly, "Aren't they supposed be protecting me, then how did they leave? That too both of them?" he cocked his brow.

NK bit the inside of his cheek to keep him from chuckle as he answered his curt query very politely, "Well I am here for your protection tonight and also we have two of our men outside guarding the place, with your security. One of them will be in the control room to keep an eye on all the security camera recordings."

"Abhay and Khushi needed to be in some other place so they have left but they will be back tomorrow morning to decide on further things with you." NK added seeing Arnav frowning.

Arnav only hmmed before storming out of the place.

**

He didn't see NK laughing silently behind his back or hear him say shaking his head "wrong one to fall for Raizada"

Indeed nk abhay and khushi share a very strong bond.
Arnav needs to have a talk with khushi.
