Part-11

"F*ck!"

"What's wrong?" Abhay glanced to left, where Khushi stood rubbing her face with both hands, frustrated.

"There is nothing. No clue, no lead to follow. This Raizada's business is as clean as a white sheet and so there relationship with others. I don't know where to look for and this brother-sister duo is getting on my nerves."

She gulped down a fare amount of water from the bottle, which was resting on her office table.

It was midnight and they were still in their office in Police headquarters, going through the numerous files of reports, gathered by their men and informers about Raizadas and AR, so that they could have some idea that why someone would want to harm Arnav Singh Raizada, but no avail. It seemed they were walking through a dark tunnel without even a flicker of light.

It had been three days since they had started working on this case. When NK and their men guarded the Mansion and office, Abhay and her, worked through all the information they had gathered so far, to understand why and who could be after ASR. But to their dismay, they couldn't gather anything solid.

And top it all whenever Arnav and Khushi had come across they had only breathed fire on each other.

On the other hand Anjali had never left a chance to question or taunt her on their no progress, irritating the hell out of her.

It was only because of NK that Khushi hadn't lost it completely and shouted some sense on that thick head of sweet sister Anjali or rather commented sarcastically, that this was not at all difficult like making a two tire chocolate cake, her spatiality, as she had come to know in her few visits in Shantivan, but as easy like as business math, her dear brother had learnt slogging for five years in Harvard.

Well, Shyam and Akash's pleading eyes also had made her retreat back in her retort, but she made sure not to pass more than necessary time in that mansion, or she might turn out to be a violent criminal than calm and composed cop she was.

Seeing her rigid form Abhay sighed and walked to stand by her side. He kept a hand on top of her head in a very paternal manner as if to calm her. She closed her eyes as his gesture soothed her agitated nerves.

His eyebrows bunched in wary as he felt the hit emanating from her scalp, defining the term hot-headed literally.

Abhay guided her to her chair and made her sit on it, albeit her protest.

He eased the right drawer of her table and took out a foil of tablets. He gave her one of it and this time she took it without uttering a word, as she knew he wasn't going to have none of her protest. Anyways she couldn't ignore the splitting headache anymore.

Abhay took back the bottle from her hand and sat down on the chair opposite to her on the other side of the table. He picked one of the files from the table they were studying together, giving her the time to relax for a moment after the medicine.

Khushi let her head loll back on the headrest of the plush chair. Closing her eyes she exhaled audibly, exhausted.

She heard Abhay, "You should call it a night."

"You should too" she said not opening her eyes.

"Hmm" she heard him agreeing.

Both walked out of the office silently, deep in thought.

Suddenly Khushi stopped on her track her eyebrows crunched as if trying to remember something.

Abhay, who had by then walked ahead a little and about to ascend his bike saw her standing like a statue a few feet away.

Frowning he walked back and saw her looking up.

**

There was a familiar kind of gleam in her eyes that made Abhay lift his eyebrows in question.

"Well" A question hidden behind his one word.

"The night is gonna be long" was her reply before she dragged out her phone from her jeans pocket.

**

NK opened his drowsy eyes and gazed at his phone which was vibrating on the table beside the couch on which he had dozed off. He dragged his eyes open and first checked the time on his watch, which showed it was ten past one in the morning. He picked the phone to see Khushi's name flushing and just like that all his sleep faded away.

As he heard Khushi on the other end he tucked his shirt in his jeans, and took his jacket from the backrest of the couch and wore it hurriedly. Last checking his gun and fitting it in its rightful place he was ready to move.

He chucked the phone in his jacket pocket and called their men from the security room.

Arnav was restless in his room. Since the day he had seen the trio in the terrace together he couldn't sit in peace.

Every time their easy communication and clear as crystal friendship had pricked in his heart.

Yes he was jealous and he had already admitted that to himself.

And the disastrous facts that was glaring back to him was that Khushi was not ready to give him that even place in her life.

For last three days whenever he had tried to talk to her it had only lead to catalectic results.

And it had only increased his rage that she wasn't even ready to cross his path.

**

NK had been acting his bodyguard since he had started going to office. He would go with him and when he would start working, NK would kill the time either gaming in his mobile or taking tours in the hotel.

But sometime Arnav had doubted that his casual tours were not that casual as he showed, because once he had seen him standing in a corner an watching a few guests with hawk eyes.

Anyways that didn't really was his concern. What concerned him was, Abhay and Khushi's disappearance.

Why they are always together? And why they seemed closer than he could ever imagine being to her! Sigh!

Hell!

He somehow didn't like their closeness.

In last three days he had seen them only twice. They had come to check on the security and to have their private meeting with NK and left as soon they were finished.

**

Well he couldn't blame them completely as he himself had behaved bullheaded with them, especially with Khushi.

Also his Di had developed some kind of womanly animosity with Khushi as she never left a chance to mock or taunt her.

He had thought of stopping Anjali when he had sensed that Khushi's control was about snap, but thanks to NK and Jijaji who had intervened on time, and had taken the women away from each other.

**

He had seen Akash breathing in relief afar and it wasn't hard to guess that he was behind calling NK and Shyam as saviors.

Thanks to him, because he didn't know that if he would have gone to meddle that could have been any help or not.

Can you put out fire with fire? No right! It only spirals wildly.

He had got this bit of knowledge on the very first day of Khushi's visit with NK and Abhay.

**

But now he wanted to talk to Khushi desperately and of course calmly.

Yes it was hard but he had to try for his own selfish reason.

If not talk then some action.

He only knew how he had bear the sheer torture of seeing her before him and not touching her or kissing her senseless.

He shuddered at the memory of her fist visit in his room. Just a mere touch of her sent him burning in desire, only to dowse by her mercilessly.

He grimaced, thinking of her pointing the gun on his private part.

Like seriously!

Whatever but the mere thought of that day made him hard again and he sighed painfully.

He needed cool air and so he headed towards the pool side only to stop short at the sight before him.

**

The two men from the security that Khushi had arranged in Shantival hurriedly entered through the main door. He could see NK instructing them something hurriedly before he left the house.

He checked the time and it showed 1:30 in the morning.

Where is he going at this hour, that too in such hurry?

Curiosity got the better of him and he strode towards the men from security, still standing in the middle of the hall talking.

**

As he neared two names caught his attention and made him all the more suspicious.

Khushi mam,

AR.

He thought of asking them but he doubted if they would answer him correctly. At last they were Khushi's minions. Hence he thought for some time and following his instinct went back to his room to bring his car keys only to leave after NK.

AR is his hotel and he can visit it anytime of day...err...night? Who can stop him?

And he had this vague inkling that he would find his answer there.

He let the guards follow him, not wanting to make them suspicious about his excuse of urgent work.

This story is just awesome. The most i like is the Khushi's character. All girls should be like that. Fantastic story. Plz tell me the procedure if i want to receive the alert whenever u update.
