Dargah Query

I don't mean to be controversial or anything but I am generally curious as a practicing muslim that has lived in the states all her life. I have never actually been in a big masjid, except Badshahi masjid in Lahore when I was like 7 or 8, and nothing like this had happened as far as I remember

Actually dargah culture is no way related to islam...going to shrines is just not permissible...pray and ask only to Allah...pray the creator not the created..

I also have never been to a dargah and was very confused when i saw aaliya going to a dargah, I have only been to masjids

I know what a Dargah is, I just don't know what exactly happens in one. I mean Aliyah kept mentioning Baba. Who is Baba? Is that what some people in India call in reference to Allah (SWT)? Also, when they were tying the "mannat ka dagah" we say people going around what looked like a body that was covered in flower petals and was being fanned. I have never seen that in a masjid. At first I thought it was somebody's Janazah but then I was like why would it be fanned and flowered on?

Can someone clear this up for me. I am so confused yet intrigued by this different culture.

A Dargah is like a shrine thats also like a grave

Its usually where sufi muslims go to make dua,

And Aaliya's character is a sufi muslim

But i have never heard that going there is not allowed i have hear it is permissible to go to a dargah

You just have to believe in Allah and allah only 100%

But after seeing Beintehaa i really want to go to a dargah now 😊

i dont know about dargah since i have been living in canada. but i do know my family in Pakistan and my mom did go to Maazar. if you know what i mean. i am thinking its kinda the same thing but in India they call it dargah and maybe in Pakistan its Maazar. My mom's family is orginally from india and my mom have been to india too and she did tell me she have been to alot of Maazars in India.And she did do the Manaat ka daga and she asked for a girl as a first child and she got one lol. And i guess dargah and Maazar is basically same. Point me if i am wrong.

Itz a common sense how can a dead person do anything though he was a great righteous man...

In Saudi u wont find a single shrine and it is from where islam spread...and at at grave of prophet mohammad pbuh...u r not supposed to do sajdah...only read durood...

itz jus a fiction serial...so chill and leave it..njoy it...but dont follow...follow only Quran..

I agree how people kiss the grave that isnt allowed but do people have to do that?

basically the grave is of a saint, usually Auwllia's, people who were extremely pious and had numerous blessing showered on them for this reason. It is permissible to go pray Fathia at their graves, meaning pray for their souls but it is Shirk if you ask them for something.
