I thought in any Jewelry shop and in big shops in India for sure...first we select then we make payments and then they give us the product...isn't it? It has been a while since I am out of India...may be the rules have changed...or is it like this in Delhi?...may be ...i guess...
Here I have seen Nikhil pack and hand the jewelry to the customer and ask the customer to make payments at the counter...I can't believe this and I am confused...
If he would have given the jewelry to the customer after making payments...they could have avoided this incident...

hm interesting neetu I think may be it happens now a days in trendy shops but I went to india last 8 years ago lol and in most places they take money from u right away and then give it to u ,so u r right it could have been avoided if they have better policy, may be they did it just to show nik as good salesman...creative liberty and then do blunders😆

sami even if you go to Jayalakshmi Silks, or any big shops we select saree or Punjabi suit or whatever...salesperson take that to the counter and after making payments they give us the product after showing receipt.
Forget about India...In US too if we go to Macy's and if we want to buy jewelry...we have to make payment in the jewelry section only and the rest if we want we can take the product to the counter.

Exactly from what I have seen the jewellery shops don't let the customers take the packet unless they have paid usually the salesperson has the bag and when they see the bill has been paid they hand over the bag and in India all the big jewellery shops they have these check points at the gates that each person has to pass so I am bit confused as to how that man was able to get a gun inside

Hi!
I agree with you. I have never come across a jewelry shop who hand over the purchase to the customer before the bill is paid!! Never in India and never here in the Middle east where I stay!!
One more point is that how can some one get weapons in as there is so much of security in such sensitive places!! I haven't seen guards at the entrance of that shop!! I wonder it is jewelry shop or some grocery shop!!😆😆😆😆 that someone can creep in take whatever one wants , flash a gun and its done!!😆 Nobody to guard and poor salesman has to put up a fight!! 🤢 Thank god it is our hero Nikhil!! otherwise all would run for their lives and the showroom would be empty with all goods gone in no time!! All to show how much skilled and loyal salesman Nikhil is!!😆😆 ( Well that dubious boss of his better change the policy towards customers and train his staff ,instead of testing the loyalty of his staff in this fashion!!) 😆😆😆
I think C.V's have been doing such blunders since long So with Nikhil , C.V's also need some lessons on standard practices!! 😕 BTW good and thought provoking post!!😊
