He added that accepting Mauj's offer to launch his debut music album gave them great feeling. They feel great to be associated with Ismail after the stupendous success of Asha and Friends.
Ismail Darbar has pumped in lots of variety into the album. "The entire Mauj team is very charged about the album and that was the reason why I did the album with them. Rasiya Saajan is a compilation of five beautiful songs, which I have composed over a period of six months. The songs reflect a variety of emotions from eroticism to ecstasy and longing to romance," he revealed.
Singers like Udit Narayan, Shaan, Hema Sardesai, Kunal Ganjawala, Zubeen Garg, Twinkle Bajpai and Nihira Joshi have lent their voices for the album. Zubeen Garg, who recently won the GIFA award for Best Singer and Stardust award for best new talent, said that he was sure the two songs "Ranaiyan" and "Rasiya Saajan" that he had sang would remain in the minds of the listeners long after it is heard. Neetu Chandra, who acted in films like 'Garam Masala' and 'Traffic Signal', is all praise for the album by terming it as a masterpiece that is not often seen in today's music scenario. She revealed that it is a compilation of western and classical music.
Fresh from the success of Asha and Friends, S Ramachandran is directing this album too. He said that the music of the album is awe-inspiring. "When we heard the five songs, it took us a while to debate and discuss about which song we could film the video on. And then we decided on Rasiya Saajan because along with the feel of three classical ragas, the song has western fusion," he added.
