Well if you did not have feelings for him then, it would be strange that you want to go out with him now. I mean he is an actor now and you probably admire him like you admire other actors. But he is the same person as he was, if he did not interest you earlier, then I see no reason why he could be of any romantic interest to you now.
Not trying to be a moral police or anything, but trust you me, it is one thing to be infatuated with an actor and a totally different thing to want to be romantically involved with a person. The later requires a lot of effort and it will not be possible to make that effort without resentment if you do not actually deeply like that person.
And if you are only interested in all the perks (attention/money/fame/social status) that you might get by being with a popular star, then honestly you should never try to get all these perks by depending on someone else. The moment they leave you, the perks would go. Work hard in life to get all the perks you want, there is nothing wrong in wanting great things for yourself but always understand that you are very much capable of getting all of that and it isn't that difficult either.
