Salman the painter goes for a crore

This Khan sure knows his worth. Just recently actor Salman Khan had submitted one of his paintings for an auction held at a Mumbai hotel. However, the painting was going for just a paltry Rs 20 lakhs. So Salman pulled his painting out from the auction. It is believed that the painting, which depicts a mother and a son, is very close to the actor's heart. But the actor managed to cut his losses when he still managed to sell the painting and make a cool crore!

And as for the story behind the crore, it seems an art lover contacted Salman when he heard that the latter had pulled out his painting. The entire deal took place over the phone and at the end of it, our Sallu bhai was richer by one crore!. The proceeds from the painting will go to the Salman Khan Foundation. It is an NGO which organizes charity shows to help the causes it supports. Salman the painter may soon overtake Salman the actor, in terms of income, it seems.
