Sarika Drama - Page 3

I dont know wat to say...this is all too confusing and i dont wanna put my two cents without knowing the whole drama..
But one thing i said before, and saying again, that gal Sarika was hella nervous before she started singing..

I don't think it was staged.

Amazing, the kind of drama that these shows tend to become. Ashaji was right on the money! Sarika was the weakest singer in the bunch. The mentors obviously have lost their marbles. It is totally annoying to see the judges "over praise" the contestants. The term "mind blowing" has been used so freely that it makes me cringe now. NONE of the performances to date have been "mind blowing". Mind blowing is Lata's original rendition of
songs like bairan neend na aaye, or Mannada and Rafisaab singing na toh caravan kee talaash hai or Pandit Kishore Kumar singing Badi sooni sooni hai.
Sarika's "bhage re mann" was terrible. Total falsetto singing in a pitch that was not her natural pitch. Heavily nasal and unpleasant. She shouldn't have been part of this competition at all, but then again I can say that for quite a few singers in this bunch. We need music directors like Madan Mohan saab come back to life to beat some sense into these jokers.
For God's sake, female contestants, PLEASE lower your pitch. Artificially high pitch tends to take away the voice quality making it sound nasal (almost like someone singing after inhailing helium gas).
Where is Himani when you need her??

i don't think so sarika was the weakest. I think Aisha did the wrong thing by giving that other girl another chance because Sarika sang better than her before and after. By giving her another chance doesn't mean she is actually going to improve her singing. I don't like Asha bhoslay anymore. And, I think she left early because she know by now people don't like her decision anymore.
