I think he is as Indian as every one of us. His for fore fathers had come to India. In KOlkata there are many many Chinese who had come long long time back. Most of them have been here for 5 6 generations if not more. And if we look at it like that then there are so many people who had come from outside to India and have settled and become a part of India. There are French in Goa, the anglo Indians, and many more. So I think its not fair to call him Chinese. My two cents .. not to offend any one.

just one thing id like everyone to note...if II can go to dubai and london looking for indians that have left to be the indian idol why cannot they look within india to find a man who claims to be indian because he believes himself to be (also hes been here for 5 generations!)...hes prolly more indian than the others who auditioned from dubai and london! he totally deserves it he sings so well and has pride in calling himself indian!
