Hi QH Forum memebers!
I did not get chance to watch the QH season 1. But thanks to loneliness and very good Wi-Fi connection in a far far off land , I am catching up on many Indian dailies that i had missed before. watching movies is all good but there is only so much of it you can take. So I go to You tube and search a show which has been popular and just play the whole playlist. So far I have seen Sasural genda phool, Ek chabbi hai pardoos mein and now I am watching Qubool Hai 1.
I want to say that this show definately had a story.. I am on the 100 Episode and till now the Show, acting ,writing, exceution everything has been spot on. I am loving Zoya.
Then I thought I should check out the season 2 as well. And I was a bit disappointed with the characterization of Sanam. I know comparision posts are not allowed as they tend to become volatile but its just that there are somethings that I can't understand.
I can't understand why Sanam's education and bringing up was simple. She is unable to speak in english and not used to modern appliances. Zoya was tech Genius. Even if these are due to tight money, hasn't Dilshad told them about their parents at all, other than the fact that they met in Bhopal. If she had why Sanam doesn't relaize how different her parents were from each other.
I know Cvs are trying to Make Surbhi Play a character completely different from Zoya. They are emphasising that Sanam is like Asad. She is picky and traditional, She is opiniated and obsessed with cleanliness. She is ambitious like her father.
But even then As Zoya's Daughter shouldn't she exhibit some of Zoya's Traits too.
Apart from 'Allah Miyaan..Pai gaya Panga' and Saiyyari?
They could have shown her a bit more educated and capable of handling a modern world. The situations that they are creating between Ahil and Sanam are very cliche and seen before in many shows. Locked down in office, Cooking desi food for clients, Dunk in swimming pool for the Junoon moments are just too cheesy.
While AsYa has some innovative twist to their Mitwa moments, like the Security system thing, 'I am sorry, Zoya' Voice password on cell.
I also am not liking Sanam's wardrobe and hair. She can dress in ethnic wear but they can atleast be more pretty instead of color disaster.
If they are waiting to see how the story is accepted and then planning to bring Seher with Zoya's traits , then I would say please hurry up.
Sanam is played immpecably by Surbhi.. But Really I am unable to find much that she can do with Sanam.. as she did with Zoya.
I might be wrong and many may not agree.. But what i want to say is Even if Sanam is Asad's Daughter, she is part of Zoya too... I want to see a bit of Zoya's playfulness in her as well.
After all, how far can a apple fall from a tree? Please share your thoughts as well.
