You are talking about emotion.
I am talking about morality.
I am happy that Arjun listen to lord krishna and give preferance to morality than emotion.

And you were questioning him on emotion as well. I wanted to explain why he would have concern only for Pitamah and Bhishma. And if it had to be a question of morality, I dont think Arjuna would have qualified to receive the lesson otherwise. Lord chose him because he was Anagha, the sinless one. There is a reason Lord was his Charioteer, there is no question of morality here.

Lord Krishna try to give lesson to everyone. He personally met Duryodhan to teach him but Duryodhan ignore him saying that he know dharm very well but something is there in his inside that ignore the dharm.
Lord Krishna met Karn and said ignore the debt and follow dharm but Karn reject the offer.
Lord Krishna try to give lesson to bhism about break his promise (vachan) and follow true dharm. Bhism ignore this.
Lord Krishna said to yudhistir to say lie for once but he hesitate.
Only Arjun listen to him and follow it.

A very interesting post👍🏼.
I was just browsing through the discussion and thought of penning down my views.

1. If we are acknowledging that Arjun was a human first before being a brother etc, then why are we denying the frailties associated with humanity. Yes, he failed to rise to the occasion precisely because he was human. He was confounded by the conflicting notions of Dharma, principles, duties, responsibilities and hence unable to act. He thought he was following his dharm all throughout and this adherence to Dharm(yes, perhaps misplaced) was what keeps him unblemished. Moreover while Draupadi did face immense humiliation there, I cannot help but think about the trauma Arjun faced. If indeed there were three Krishnaas in Mahabharat, then to see someone who is a part of your soul being battered in front of your eyes might have been as good as dying. Yes, he made a mistake and paid for it then and there, thus he was as much as a victim there.

2. About Arjun taking a lot of time to understand Gita, I personally would refrain from commenting about this unless I can claim to have understood the Gita completely myself. However, I think Arjun took time because he was not required to understand the Gita, he was asked to realize it, to act upon it and to undergo a complete spiritual transformation. And unless there is a time limit for this kind of an evolution( I would assume it takes lifetimes!), its absurd to comment on time frame here in my opinion.
