Acting like the Queen already?
KANGANA RANAUT DUMPS KAHAANI DIRECTOR FOR HIS NEXT FILM IN THE LAST MINUTE

Post the success of Queen, Kangana Ranaut had signed Sujoy Ghosh's Durga Rani Singh.
Kangana had confirmed signing Sujoy's woman- centric film two months ago but now it seems that she is not interested in playing the title role.
A source says that Kangana was pretty excited to be a part of Sujoy's film but decided to opt out out citing date issues.
Reportedly, Kangana was supposed to play a 35- yearold mother to a 14- year- old paralytic girl in Durga Rani Singh.
" Considering Sujoy's last film Kahaani, Kangana was more than happy to work with him in his next, which is going to be a suspense thriller. Post the success of Queen, Kangana has become extremely choosy and doesn't want to do any film that will affect her career. Playing a mother to a 14- year- old wasn't an issue for her since she had an interesting role in the film. Kangana is definitely looking for a better script. She has Karan Johar's Ungli with Emraan Hashmi, which is slated to release in November this year and Sai Kabir's Divine Lovers opposite Irrfan Khan," says a source.
Earlier, Vidya Balan was supposed to play the main protagonist in Durga Rani Singh. But she had to finally say no to Sujoy due to niggling health issues. Kangana stepped into Vidya's shoes in haste just after the mind numbing success of Queen.
" Kangana's last release Revolver Rani failed to show huge figures at the box- office.
However, she doesn't want to repeat the same mistake again. Kangana's opted out of Sujoy's film citing date issues and her next film apparently is Aanand L Rai's Tanu Weds Manu 2, which won't go on floors before August," says the source.
Reportedly, Durga Rani Singh is supposed to go on floors in October and now Kangana's exit has left the director in a lurch. According to the source, Sujoy is in talks with Kareena Kapoor Khan now. Though nothing is confirmed, Sujoy feels Kareena will be the better option.
Kangana will be going back to New York for her scriptwriting course that she had left midway for the promotions of Queen. Reportedly, she will be making her production and directorial debut with an English language short film called The Touch, which deals with the relationship between a four- year old boy and a dog. She co- wrote the screenplay with an Australian writer and completed the principle photography in America.
It is interesting to see how Kangana is still basking in the glory of Queen and has no big films in hand and rejecting a film like Durga Rani Singh. We hope Kangana's queen- size ego won't get hurt with the reality.
