In round 8 there are already 3 wild card entries so far, and there is a possibility of two more (atleast) joining in from those who get eliminated in Round 7. So that makes it 5 wild card entries in total to submit songs for Round 8, thus increasing the number of participants back to 15. The number of participants going into the semi final is fixed to 5. So, between Round 8 and Semi Finals, we need to eliminate 10 participants.

We from the coordinating team feel that there should be an additional round so that the number of eliminations per round does not exceed 3 at a time.

That is why we have added an extra round to the contest .This new round introduced will be the Round 9.The theme will be : Songs of Music Directors – Kalyanji-Anandji or Laxmikant –Pyarelal. So, there will now be 11 rounds before the semi finals. Here is the current updated schedule and the elimination plan :

As we now know the eliminated contestants also include pawan and moonlite. but this being the last round of wild card entry the co-ordinating team is giving them the chance to take up the challenge as wild card contestants.
