Diya ji, Very good analysis. I think Paro is shocked but still she is in her element.
My take is she brought him back home, he had been away from home for more than than eight years... A very long time indeed.
She loved him, will continue to love him. she is his wife she is the one to take the relationship fwd, nurture it, nourish it. Is'nt this or something like this she said to her jeeja in the morning.

Even today whatever her emotional state was she did care for him, by helping him drying his hair.
My hope in Paro her strength, her character is high because I see that she remember some of the caring moments she experienced with Rurda in Jaipur and before the confession

Laila has her purpose in story and until that is taken care off she will stay! And till then we will continue hearing the BG yeh Bhi ... Adhura... Bhi ... Adhuri.

Till now Paro knew Rudra as a lost kid without his mother, now she will try to understand him as a man who has "needs".

Just logged in to catch up on this thread ...
@red ... very well said ... Paro has seen him as a lost child, now she will see him as a man ... and a deeply flawed one at that.

Diya,

Did not know you posted...so will just copy apste what I wrote on Sush's post...

Back now after a week's hiatus only to be greeted with an amazing 100th episode...the confessions of our flawed soldier, the first realization of Paro that her Rudra is not a God...he is human...

Sanaya and Ashish nailed it...that moment of shock when Rudra says "she accepted it".."she was Laila" the sinking of the heart...when Paro hears these words...you can see the fear in both their eyes...Rudra's fear of what it will do to Paro...Paro's fear of bringing down her husband from the pedestal she placed him. Her Hero was like any other man...who chose to bury his demons, and find solace in the arms of another woman...

"I had that relationship with her that I don't even share with you" ...these words hit Paro the hardest...and stuck with her...When she slumped against the door, it was just this revelation that hurt the most and she crumbles crying her heart out.

He says the relationship has no name, but in Paro's world it has...and that is of a lover, ek premi...the exact relationship that Maithli told her about...that she had to win over Rudra and find a lover and a friend in her husband. Hence she questions him whether he loved Laila. Because for her it was these two things she was seeking, hoping, longing for from Rudra. To become her friend and lover...Yet wasn't Laila exactly that? His Lover?

Now for Paro to fathom a man becoming a lover to a woman for 8 years without love is hard to digest or even believe. Her thoughts go back to their marriage vows...when Rudra told her he would never give her happiness...and he would never become hers. She knows and ponders over his moments of caring and would always protect her with his life, but the place of a lover that he shared with Laila was never going to be hers. Sadly for Paro the Laila revelation simply cemented his 8th vow.

I won't talk of the hug and stuff, too much said on that, even before the episode is aired. So let's wait and watch

Rudra told Paro he left Laila in Jaipur and came to Birpur. He had abandoned that relationship that he forged to get away from his past. And yet Rudra gave up Laila only to return back to the same dark past demons, roots and Paro. So does this not make Paro think since he has come back to his past and has not made peace with it yet, will he not want to turn to Laila again?

Right now Rudra is only wanting a maafi from Paro, and a sort of acceptance of his flaws but not him as a whole. He hasn't yet reached a point where he wants to make her his wife in the true sense. So for Paro to let go of him would not be wrong. In fact it now makes her decision of giving him up all the more firmer. Because that ray of Hope just died with the presence of Laila and Rudra's revelation. Sigh!

But I hope for one thing, and that is that Paro talks to Maithli about this, the only one who can make her understand that yes a man can have a physical lover-like relationship without any emotional attachment. Like a bad drug and a habit, something that he took to, in order to counter his demons, yet one that he gave up even before Paro came into his life.

Will add the second addition that I just did to Sush's post...

Sush...your thread is really getting interesting, so...

Let me add another of my two cents.

All said and done Laila is Rudra's past. She WAS his lover if nothing else in the past eight years.

Hence the only thing that I found wrong on the part of Rudra was that he did not give a name to his Laila relationship when confessing to Paro. "Kuchh rishta nahi...koi sawal nahi". Typical male attitude (RS & GH & ST put together). 😉

Secondly when Laila attacked Paro (indirectly hurting Rudra) he did have a conversation with her and told her off. That was as close as he could get to a closure with Laila, which is fair enough. Because he has already ended the affair back in Jaipur. He does not need to explain his new intentions or feelings about Paro to Laila. Even in reality, men and women just shun their past affairs without explanations. A cowardly route is usually adopted. But here Rudra has ended it once in Jaipur and then again on the haldi day he came back to Laila (after reaching Paro to her room) and told her off.

Also from the looks of it, Laila wants Rudra back not as a husband but as a LOVER...as long he comes back to her as his old self, a broken man with baggage...she is okay with it.

So Laila following him here and then pushing him into accepting is pure obsession, nothing more.

Also Rudra is now exposed to the dark side of Laila (her attacks on Paro)...so whatever little respect/benaam feelings he might have had for her as a friend are crushed/ruined.

And then most importantly it's not a love triangle, it's about Rudra and Paro.

What Rudra and Paro make out of his past and hers is what the story is all about.

Two things; One is what Rudra wants out of this marriage with Paro? Is he ready to bury his past (mother) and embrace Paro whole heartedly?

Because for Paro all this time over and above the 8 negated vachans, Rudra has been pushing her away. Apart from the protection and care, he has not offered her anything beyond that.

Two - Is Paro ready to accept the fact that he had a lover for the past eight years. Does this change the kind of love and adoration she has for him? I don't think it would in any way...she loves him for what he is.

Aage dekhte hai...kya hota hai...

hugs
dd

Beautiful post!!

Addendums .. Sanaya ROCKS in emotional scenes!!! I had a lump in my throat at her breakdown in the abandoned house, and then back in the haveli as she gives Rudra the silent treatment ... which is something I was ardently wishing for ... hurrah!!!
And I love this hairstyle of hers, the loose unbraided ponytail :)

And ... since Laila is so sure that Paro will swallow her story, that makes me very sure that Paro will NOT. But what will Paro do?

Third - Ankita, the actress is TERRIBLE.

Yes, Sanaya was awesome today. Wish they had picked another actress to play Laila.
Right...felt instead of action she seems to be competing.
