Wasn't whole purpose of 5 yr leap

Before leap Ad told Bani that she can return to Mumbai after 5 yrs because BW will then be considered dead.

The same police who was handling the case let Jai take Bnai to Wm without any problem. HE could have arrested her then & there. BUt he kept talking about Mr & Mrs Walia trapped with terrorist & didn't take any action.

Even Pia could have gotten Bnai arested there itself in that mill. Police were around then.

But then how would Ekta creat fake sense of JB reunion (?)

I think at the time the police and all the people's minds were busy about the incident that took place.

The police were busy of freeing those whose lives were in danger.

this thought did not come to Pia's mind nor the police at the time.

As for Bani's case the court ruled out that she was mad and then she was declared dead.

Bani's case was not known until Pia and Jigyasa went to the police and revived the case and told the police that Bani is alive and not dead.
