Someone please explain why wedding night was in Paakhi's room?

I am trying to know why in the world was Paakhi's wedding night in her room since childhood and why not at Raghav's house?.

Why did they decorate Paakhi's room for her suhaag raat?

To me it would look like Raghav is her latest new toy that she is bringing to her childhood room??

How strange is that. I never knew that suhaag raat is at your maternal home in your childhood room!!😲
