First of all CIVILITY is something you need to put into your words/post. Now that is a BIG statement which Aamir himself would defy-making him Guru Dutt😆😆 Ah well like they say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
I don't even know where to start, that's how ridiculous this post is.
First, Aamir is the damn Guru Dutt of this generation. You can bet your pants off, that more Aamir films will stand the test of time than any other actor's in the last 20 yrs.
Secondly, it's kind of important to not have a 'forte' or not be type-casted as an actor. You think Salman likes playing the same damn role every time. Whenever he tries something different he falls flat. He's a prisoner of his own image and he hates it.
And, having the script as the King is a bad thing, right? 😆
P.S First the poster says Aamir won't stand the test of time, then he/she claims Aamir films only do well because of a good script. Won't a good script, stand the test of time? 😕
Till now they haven't stood the test of time, so the probability is they don't stand much in future. Moreover great cinema is being made these days so that will surely catch the attention the slapstick of the past.
Of course NOT Script should always be the King but to be the King the actor needs to rise above the script something which Amitabh Bachchan did, Shah Rukh did, Salman did, Govinda did.
Having a forte is very important because that is how casting is done in Bollywood or Hollywood. You can never cast Govinda in Chak de? Or Shah Rukh in Coolie no 1? or Salman in Lagaan? All will fail badly. Hope this clarifies.
