Don't get me wrong, I loved all the mushy romantic stuff in Jaipur, and definitely love that he is softening towards Paro, Bapusa and in life generally. But at one point, I was like, dude, are you STILL the same smart, ruthless, intelligent BSD major that has accomplished so much at a young age? From when Paro ran off with Tejawat, till about now, he seemed to lose that sharp intelligent instinct of his, and was instead an emotional mess, making decisions completely ruled by anger and rage.
I get it. I really do. Poor man went through alot. Dealing with Paro, trying to keep her safe, still believing she's complicit with Tejawat, then being rejected by her, having his father end up in hospital, finding out his mother left for Tejawat, and then add in Paro's new obsession and almost blind-like devotion to him, every man has his limits after all. The pressure on his job was probably what did it do though, leading to that rash marriage, blaming Paro, and every other nonsensical thing that happened.
I get it Majorsa...this woman makes you want to be human, and that's danger with a capital D. So you push her away and lock your brain away somewhere, where it can't point out the flaws in your actions. But enough is enough! You've got a killer on the loose! Several killers on the loose actually!
But our Ruddy boy is back!! đ The smart, suave, heartless jaanwar is back. Tempered with the Paro-factor of-course. Which makes him so much more attractive! I was really happy to see how he dealt with the whole ladoo poisoning situation. He let Paro and Maithali present their case, not contradicting, not dismissing, quietly watching and observing and occasionally reminding Kakisa to behave with his wife. This is the Rudra I missed. The one who looks at you, and you know not to mess with him. After Mohini ate the ladoo, one would expect him to flip at Paro, but no, his brain is back in action. He never trusted Kakisa and Sumer, and quietly in the background, made sure he was collecting his proofs. He realized that Kakisa indeed was sick, and was able to intercept them, and prove that his wife was right. All in his indomitable style. Wah Rudra bannaa! This is what I missed. That sharp intellect...that watches, plans and attacks.
At one point, he even mentions, that his dad, Paro and Rudra, all have been subject to 'jaan-leva' type attacks. One does not take 'jaan-leva' type attacks lying down. Thank-you for remembering Rudra-banna. I thought you had forgotten, with all the romantic mushiness going on, that your father was almost killed, and it wasn't your wife who did it!
A bit of a digression here, I really enjoyed his little 'break-down' with Paro. It was a beautiful moment. He doesn't want to turn to her, but he does. He wants to find faults in her, but he can't. He is finally at-least admitting his weaknesses, which is a sight to see. But the clincher for me, was how his dimaag is still there. You could see the change right away in attitude when he realized that the woman was Laila and not his mother. Rudra the BSD officer, Rudra the protector was back. He quickly shielded Paro from Laila and went on to figure out what was going on. Laila may act, and Paro may be taken in, but not only does Rudra know better, but he right away tries to dig further to find out Laila's truth. He may give in for Paro's sake, but he does not trust Laila at all. When he's with Paro, it's full on heart. But when it comes to her safety, it's full-on brain. Which was somehow lost in between. Happy to see that he's baaack!!
Rudra banaa, my sincere request to you...please keep using your brain. I agree, sometimes it doesn't work when Paro is involved, and that's ok. She strips all the bullshit away from your personality. I get it! But for all the other stuff going on, please keep the brain on. You have alot of really shifty people around you, and you kinda need to bring the BSD smarts to the playing field!
Khama Gani peeps!
