A man conned his way into the sets of Kasamh Se claiming to be Prachi Desai's (Bani) relative, collected her belongings and tried to scoot

A suave looking guy misguided Prachi Desai's mother and the vanity van guard and scooted with Prachi's belongings. But, as luck would have it, he was caught just as he was boarding a cab.

Prachi's mother, Amita, who always accompanies her to the shoot, was in the vanity van. Shaken by the experience Amita recounts, "I thought of going to the garden nearby rather than spending my time in the vanity van. A smart looking guy approached me and asked me in Gujarati if I had locked the vanity van. I assumed that he was one of the people who maintain the vanity van."

Next, the guy went to the vanity van and told the people around that he was sent by Prachi's mother. He collected Prachi's wallet, the DVD player and other belongings from the van and tried to scoot. As luck would have it, the vanity van owner came to her and told her that her relative was taking away all the stuff. "I was puzzled for a few minutes and could not make out what he was saying. I told him that I had not sent anyone to the van," Amita said.

The van owner rushed to the gate and found the guy boarding the cab with all the belongings. "He put all the stuff in a plastic bag and was running away. He was caught at the last moment and was beaten up badly. He was later handed over to the security. I could not believe that a guy with an upper-class look could actually be a burglar!" Amita says.

When Prachi was informed about the incident she rushed to the spot and prevented people from bashing him up. "Prachi can't bear violence, she is very tender," Amita adds.
