PRC Newsletter - Do we need one?

ok now one of a good old member of this forum suggested a newsletter for the PRC Section as this feature is fast springing up in other sections too.. 😊

so let me go into the details about it.. 😳

I am sure everyone would agree that compared to 2 months back, this section has become more active with many more discussion topics, many more interesting threads being started (yes some regular members are no longer visiting or posting because of personal reasons 😭) but overall the traffic in the section has increased.. and member interaction improved!!!!

We do have contests once in a while and their results announced regularly...

weekly FOTW & chaska meter

some members post articles when and where they can see them ..

new photos of the episodes and off screen pictures of the cast are posted whenever someone gets hold of them...

a newsletter is basically the culmination (a short gist) of all the above but presented out colourfully (if you are creative enough probably in the format of a newspaper and the authors could be like reporters)- so do we need a newsletter ??? please let us know your views here... 😊

Before celebrating lets iron out the rules, needs and musts 😛

for the newsletter to be successful, we would need a newsletter team

1) who promise to be regular

2) have all the qualities pertaining to maintaining a newsletter like being creative and have a good command of the language

3) be patient, calm and composed while coming across any rebuttals/issues

for the newsletter to be successful both the newsletter team and the members will have to co-operate.. if the newsletter team are not able to keep the newsletter going or if the member response/participation/contribution is not satisfactory enough; the newsletter system will have to come to an end 😭

(P.S. Please dont feel bad I am saying this ... this is basically because pari, priya and myself have a lot of other things to take care of; both in the section and outside it on IF. So we want to make sure complete justice is done to this system before starting something like this as we may not be able to regulate it all the time...) 😊

so please let us know what you think about it -> all you for/against views, ideas and discussions here...

I think it is a good idea and would like to help with the newsletter. I am not very creative but will definately give it a go.

it's a wicked idea dear but ma Exams r in da ways i dnt mind helpin out in free time coz MA REPORT WAS WICKED MUM REALLI HAPPI 😛 sori in june i will be busy n all of next week 🤢 soo i'm realli sorri 4 putin u down dear but on fri/sat/sun 4 prc videos n chatin 2 me m8 might cum on IF!!!!!! 😛

So, the PRC newsletter will come once a month or weekly or otherwise?

As you said, for the newsletter to be successful, we would need a newsletter team - a team with good understanding among themselves, and taking it seriously like a job....as you said -

be regular, creative, having a good command of the language, be patient, calm and composed while coming across any rebuttals/issues

and both the newsletter team and the members will have to co-operate!

It sounds like a hard job to build such a team - specially because people are busy with their personal goals!

But this section of IF really shows that members are very friendly to each other and they have good understandings! So, I believe you'll be able to make it!

As far as I am concerned, I may be able to give a hand for the month of June and July! But, if it's weekly, I can't promise for a lot of time! If it's monthly, you can count on me.😊

Then I must confess, I haven't handled anything of creating a newsletter before! But I have seen a newsletter of course! Also, I have made many colourful posters to present my work in seminars....so I think, I can be a help for our very own PRC newsletter!
