Shashank Vyas was miffed with the makers of the show Balika Vadhu because he was not happy with the way his track was shaping up. He even threatened to quit the show, say sources. A source revealed to us, "The current track focuses on Shashank's character Jagya, who is contesting for the state assembly elections. However, there was this track where Shashank's competitor had morphed some of his photos and tried to show him in a negative light. But Sidharth Shukla's character (Shiv) unearthed the truth and helped clear Jagdish's (Jagya) name. Shashank wasn't happy that the focus had shifted to Sidharth's character. He stalled the shoot for 40 minutes, and even threatened to quit the show if the next track didn't put his character back in prominence."

But Shashank rubbishes all these rumours and says that things are being blown out of proportion. He says, "I'm a sincere actor, and I understand the character of Jagya well. There were creative issues that had arisen, and I had a chat with my writers about them. That was it. All the reports about me threatening to quit or stalling the shoot are not true. The track is focussing on me, so why would I be unhappy? I'm a very professional actor. I don't follow the simple routine of going to the sets and saying my dialogues. I also try and be a part of the creative process."
