Amitabh Bachchan will have two releases on 25th May, SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA and CHEENI KUM. No doubt, the two films belong to different genres because while one is an action fare, the other is a comedy, but Bachchan did not want to take any chances and, therefore, asked Sanjay Gupta if he could postpone his SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA.

Although Gupta wanted to oblige, he couldn't because postponing his film by a week (to 1st June) seemed impossibile. Reason: Firoz Nadiadwala (FOOL N FINAL) and Sanjay Gupta had already arrived at a decision not to come in opposition to one another, and FOOL N FINAL release had been fixed for June 1.

Besides, says Gupta, "To my good luck, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S END, has been postponed by a week, to June 1, which means lack of opposition for me on 25th May." And so, it will be Bachchan versus Bachchan next Friday.

haila...I am more excited abt Cheeni Kum..it will rock. It has instantly been appreciated after being screened at Cannes. So I guess it will be very nice film. 😃 but it wont be Bachchan v/s Bachchan this friday. AB plays just say a 10 min cameo or so in SOAL. Cheeni Kum is a Bachchan film not SOAL

I am dying to see Cheeni kum...it's so great to see an Indian man playing his age and that too with such a penache...

Strange that SOAL should be promoted as Bachchan film...it's a Vivek Oberoi film.... 😕

Poor Vivek.....first he had to fight for importance against junior Bachchan's 10 min cameo, and now Sr Bachchan's 10 min cameo.... 😆 😆 😆

^^^yeah I agree...Big B is one of his kind... I too cant wait for Cheeni Kum. It has been given Standing oovations at Cannes by such a mixed nationalities..so I think it has gotta be really good😃
