Shastra prods Vansh to doubt Tariksha. Nithika tells her family the truth and only Dharm thinks that what Vansh did was wrong. Poornima and Devyani join hands. Vansh and Tariksha face off about the truth and Shastra watches silently.
Vansh Katha €" Episode Fifty Six
Later that night Poornima€™s cell phone rings.
Poornima: Hello?
Devyani: Mrs. Singhani, it€™s Devyani Seth.
Poornima: Oh hi, I was expecting your call.
Devyani: I may have discovered the perfect way for you to settle your score.
Poornima: Oh do tell.
Devyani: You see, before Anuradha died, she gave me controlling interest of her entire business empire. Now I was supposed to make sure than Vansh got everything when the time was right, but now that things have changed, so have my plans.
Poornima: I€™m listening.
Devyani: I have some forms that I need your husband to sign on. The form indicates that I, Devyani Seth, have handed over Anuradha Rao€™s entire business domain to Mr. Sidharth Singhania. Just think about it. Won€™t it be the ultimate revenge?
Poornima: Of course. That is what we set out to get in the first place and now finally it will all be ours.
Devyani: He set out to destroy you and now you would have ended up destroying him.
Poornima: But what do you get out of it?
Devyani: Satisfaction Mrs. Singhania. The satisfaction of knowing that I am in control of the situation. The satisfaction of being able to manipulate anything to my advantage.
Poornima: You are a smart woman aren€™t you?
Devyani: That I am. But I€™m banking on your smartness for this job.
Poornima: What do you mean?
Devyani: Well your husband isn€™t going to sign these papers over just like that is he? I mean do you really think that he will be ready to destroy his son after being reunited with him after so long?
Poornima: You€™re absolutely right.
Devyani: You€™re going to have to come up with a way to trick him. Believe me, once his name is on the dotted line, then the Rao business empire will be his and finally after all these years, you will be rid of Vansh and Anuradha forever.
Poornima: When will you hand the papers over to me?
Devyani: I will have a driver bring it over to your house by tomorrow. But you need to sign them and get them back to me within 48 hours from when you get them because I don€™t want Vansh to realize that I still have his company and do something to stop me.
Poornima: Fine, 48 hours is all I need. I€™ll devise a plan and make sure Sidharth signs the papers.
Devyani: But Mrs. Singhania, what happens after he finds out the truth. When he realizes that he€™s taken everything from his son? Won€™t he try to give it back?
Poornima: You leave that to me. Because once Vansh realizes that his father has double crossed him then he will leave this house without me having to do anything all.
Devyani: Lovely. So I€™ll send the papers across tomorrow.
Poornima: Tomorrow it is.
Devyani: Bye.
Later that night, Vansh returns to the mansion and goes straight into his room. Shastra watches him go in and decides to make her move. She walks in silently€
Shastra: Vansh€
Vansh: Um, now€™s really not a good time Shastra I€™d like to be left alone.
Shastra: Oh ok I€™m sorry, I just thought you might need someone to talk to. I€™ll just be going then.
Vansh: Shastra wait€
Shastra: Yes€
Vansh: I€™m sorry I shouldn€™t have spoken to you that way. Come in and have a seat.
Shastra: No really it€™s alright. I know you must be going through a lot right now so I€™ll just go and come back some other time.
Vansh: No don€™t be silly. Just come in and shut the door behind you.
Shastra: Ok. So how did things go with Tariksha?
Vansh: Don€™t ask€ It was horrible. I don€™t know what came over me. I shouldn€™t have said the things I said to her.
Shastra: But you were angry and you are going through something right now€
Vansh: Yea I know but€
Shastra: I mean if she actually does love you so much then she should understand your position better right? Is it really enough to be there for someone if you don€™t understand them when you need them the most?
Vansh: Actually you€™re right. But I can€™t help but wonder if she€™s really at fault here.
Shastra: From what you€™ve told me so far Vansh, the way I see it, Devyani was making you take revenge because she wanted to make herself feel better. But Tariksha wanted you to stop taking revenge because she knew that sooner or later you€™d get to her mother as well.
Vansh: What are you saying?
Shastra: I€™m saying that they both wanted you to do the right thing for the wrong reasons.
Vansh: I don€™t know I€™m just so confused right now and I feel like my head is spinning.
Shastra: Do you want me to get you something to drink?
Vansh: Actually I€™d like that very much€
Shastra: I€™ll be right back.
Meanwhile at Devyani€™s House, Tariksha is crying in her room€
Tariksha: How could he say all those horrible things to me when he knows how much I love him? What have I done that is so wrong? Why is he punishing me when my mother is the one at fault here? This is so not fair. But then again it€™s my own damn fault. I spared myself from love all these years and I walked into this one knowing that there was only heartache at the end of it all. Why was I so stupid???
And back at the Singhania Mansion€ Shastra is pouring Vansh€™s drink and she€™s adding a little boost€
Shastra: Two of these pills should get you nice and drowsy, what happens after that is anyone€™s guess but what won€™t happen is you going back to Tariksha, this I promise you Vansh.
Devyani€™s House€
Tariksha: I€™m not going crawling back to him and if he thinks that I€™m to blame for what my mother did to him then that€™s his problem not mine. I shouldn€™t be the one to feel his stupid wrath€ All I was trying to do was help him and he turns around and does this to me???
Singhania Mansion€
Shastra: Before the sun rises tomorrow morning Tariksha and Vansh€™s relationship will be dead and that marks my entrance into his life. I always get what I want no matter what and I want Vansh and by everything that I hold strong to myself I will have him. Nothing, absolutely nothing will stop me.
Devyani€™s House€
Tariksha: I hate you Vansh Rao€ I really hate you.
Singhania Mansion€
Shastra: I love you Vansh and that€™s why I€™m doing this.
Shastra slowly makes her way back up to Vansh€™s room. She opens the door and sees him standing near the window looking out of it.
Shastra: Vansh€ Here€™s your drink.
Vansh: Thank you.
Vansh takes the drink and is about to sip it when Nithika walks in.
Nithika: Hey guys, what€™s happening?
Shastra: Oh nothing, we were just talking and Vansh was feeling a bit thirsty so I fixed him a drink.
Nithika: Vansh I know you€™ve been through a lot and I know that these are hard times ahead of you, but I want you to know something. I know how real your affections are towards me and I know that you€™ve always supported me like I was your own sister, well guess what, I am your sister and I€™m here for you. You could have destroyed my marriage with Manav if you really wanted to but you didn€™t. In fact you helped us through it and only a real brother can do that for his sister.
She walked up to Vansh and took the glass away from him.
Nithika: That€™s why a sister always knows what€™s best for her brother. I knew you would be feeling tense, so I made you a nice cup of herbal tea. It€™s downstairs, nice and warm and waiting for you.
Vansh: Thank you€ Thank you so much Nithika.
Nithika: Hey€ We€™re brother and sister now, this is my duty, you don€™t have to thank me.
Shastra watched as her plan seemed to be failing miserably.
Nithika: Ok you go down and start on the tea, we€™ll give you some time alone and join you in a bit ok.
Vansh: Ok.
Vansh walked out of the room and Nithika smiled after him.
Nithika: Poor boy.
Shastra: Yea I know, he€™s been through so much.
Nithika: Is that why you wanted to put him through some more Shastra???
Shastra: What? What are you talking about?
Nithika: I heard you talking to yourself little cousin and I know exactly what€™s in this drink and I know exactly what you intended on doing tonight.
Shastra: I don€™t know what you€™re talking about€
Nithika: Oh no? Do you want to have a sip of this drink and then tell me you still don€™t know what you€™re talking about? I heard you talking to Vansh and I know what you€™re trying to do. You€™re trying to create a rift between him and Tariksha aren€™t you?
Shastra: Nithika di please!
Nithika: Just because I don€™t live in this house anymore doesn€™t make me stupid you know. You forget that I was the first person you confessed to about your feelings for Vansh. I€™ve been watching you and how you€™ve been manipulating the situation to your advantage and somehow I have no doubt that the argument that happened between Vansh and Tariksha today was also your doing.
Shastra: FINE! YES IT WAS ME!!! But it€™s only because I love him more than she does.
Nithika: Says who? You don€™t know what they share. And right now neither Vansh nor Tariksha needs and immature little brat like you meddling with their personal lives.
Shastra: NITHIKA!
Nithika: Don€™t raise your voice at me cousin€ Vansh is my brother and I haven€™t forgotten how he saved my marriage. I€™ll be damned if I let you destroy his relationship. So I€™m warning you today, stay away from him.
Shastra: And I€™m telling you today, I will have him one way or the other.
Nithika: Fine, but you€™re just going to have to deal with me first.
Shastra: Is that a challenge?
Nithika: Call it what you must but take serious note of it because if you pursue this then I mean business.
Shastra: You€™re on.

Poornima receives the papers that will give Sidharth power over Anuradha€™s business empire and Shastra diverts her attention in the direction of destroying Nithika€™s marriage.
