Paro looks up at that. Her all seeing eyes as sharp and intelligent as anything
And Paro, her expression shifts almost imperceptibly but watch her eyes.. u see a strange expression there in her very direct gaze as she almost sees through him.. it was not triumph.. nor was it any other such easily comprehensible expressions..some sort of understanding...but not quite.. yet there was a shift that was so very fitting for this moment of facing the very beginning of their acquaintance..
And she looks in his eyes, directly and asks him, 'In every instance? Except mine...'
he looks nonplussed...
and she continues, 'In my situation without any real proof I was accused to be a criminal' and as she in her usual direct, simple manner confronted him, her eyes held a stranger melancholy, a sadness of sorts.. as did her entire expression..
And by the time she says 'aur saza bhi sunathi thi.. (and the punishment was pronounced too)' u could see the pain of what he did in her face.. 'wasn't that wrong major saab?' a slight sheen of tears..
And he looks away unable to meet her clear gaze..
and she continues to try to hold his gaze... waiting for an answer... searching his face. whatever she saw in his.. this time her gaze gentled.. giving him a chance to accept it and maybe apologize.. so that they could move ahead..
'bataaiye..' she implored again...
he looked guilty... before he was distracted by Sumer..
And after he had dragged her off she asks, 'what happened major saab? u want to listen to the truth?'
Paro as a character!! WOW!! I don't even think to defend Sanaya's choice to pick this role and enjoy doing this when these moments come!!
These are like proverbial gems on Indian TV!! This directness of character! This guilelessness, this simplicity.. Paro is truly one of a kind!! wow!!
And the simple extremely subtle face and eye movements of Sanaya's when she portrays Paro... amazing how much nuanced acting she does in a scene like this.. its a delight to watch her face..
