CHAPTER 15. AND THE STORM ARRIVES!

"Arnav Singh Raizada!"

"Anvesha Shergill!"

Two best friends hugged each other in the middle of the airport as if they had not met for ages, which was true as they were meeting after 5 years. It was not that they lost touch. They still remained in touch through phones and emails but they never met each other face to face after College.

15 minutes later, Arnav was driving Anvesha to her apartment he had rented for her. He had offered her a room in his house but she refused saying she was not comfortable staying in someone else's house.

"Toh bataao! Mere assignment ka naam kya hai?", Anvesha spoke.

"Assignment?", Arnav looked at her with amusement and confusion.

Anvesha shrugged, "I mean... jis kaam ke liye tumne mujhe yahaan bulaaya? The girl?"

Arnav smiled softly, "Her name is Khushi Khurana!"

Anvesha was startled, "Khurana?"

"Haan! Kyun? Jaanti ho kya Khuranas ko?", Arnav asked her.

She shook her head but remained pensive for a while.

After a while, Anvesha spoke up, "Arnie! Mujhe ek baat bataao! Why don't you just propose this girl? Why this elaborate plan?" Arnav smiled sadly and started telling Anvesha about how he met Khushi and their future altercations.

As Arnav ended his narrative, Anvesha rolled her eyes, "You are an idiot ASR! If the girl does not want you then forget her and move on. She is the one who will loose a good guy like you. Why are you going crazy for such a stupid girl?" Arnav cut her off with, "Anvesha!" He glared at her while pointing his finger at her, "Say whatever you want about me lekin meri Khushi ke baare mein kuch mat bolna!" Anvesha blinked twice and then smiled, "Ok Ok! Mere Macho man! Relax!" Arnav looked back to the road and continued driving.

After a while Anvesha spoke up, "So I have to come to your office to work as one of your designer and flirt with you in front of Khushi, right? That is the plan, right?" Arnav nodded, "Make her jealous! That is what we want!"

Anvesha looked away and sighed softly. No Arnav! That is what you want! I just want your happiness. I have loved you for ages but you never loved me back. But I don't mind that! But I promise you, I will try my best to give you your happiness, your Khushi! Kyunki tumhaari khushi mein hi meri khushi hai, Arnav.

Khushi Khurana was not happy today! Why should she be when Arnav Singh Raizada forgot to pick her up? Didn't he pick her up daily so that they could go to office together? Then where was he today?

"Samajhte kya hain apne aapko! Haan Devi Maiyya? Samajhte kya hain woh? Ek din humein lene nahi aaye toh kya hum ghar par hi baithe rahenge! Hum bhi dekhlenge unhein! Humein pick up karna bhool gaye? Humein? Chodenge nahi Arnavji ko hum aaj! Chodenge nahi..."

Khushi continued to grumble to her Devi Maiyya all the way from the lift to AR Head Office. Most of the staff took no heed of her mumblings as all were used to seeing Khushi Khurana talking to her Devi Maiyya. So except Lavanya and her toadies, no one noticed Khushi's anger.

"Kya baat hai Khushi? Aaj badi pareshaan lag rahi ho?", asked Lavanya. Lavanya, or La as she was mostly called as, was not someone Khushi would befriend. La was too shallow and airheaded for Khushi to consider as her friend. But unfortunately La had latched on to Khushi and tried to impress her as Khushi was sister of MSK and friend of ASR.

Khushi shook her head indicating that nothing was wrong. Agar kuch gadbad hai bhi ho toh hum tumhein nahi bataayenge. Jaante nahi kya hum ki tum AR ki Gossip Queen ho?

"Waise Khushi...", Lavanya started speaking, wanting to tell Khushi the latest gossip of the Office but Khushi walked away not wanting to listen to Lavanya. If only she had listened to Lavanya, Khushi would have not been so shocked when she entered ASR's Cabin to scold him for forgetting to pick her up. As all Lavanya wanted to say that the new designer has arrived and she is ASR's old college friend.

Khushi looked in horror as Arnavji, her Arnavji hugged another girl. Her jaw dropped open as both pulled away and Arnav cupped the girl's cheeks. Hey Devi Maiyya! Dekho kaise chipak rahe hain dono? Khushi's eyes narrowed and she cleared the throat. Arnav and the girl sprang apart and Arnav noticed her, "Hi Khushi!" The nerve of the man! Smiling at me like nothing happened when few seconds ago they were so close! Khushi fumed internally but did not show it outside. In front of Arnav, she just smiled. Arnav introduced the girl as Anvesha, his college friend and their new designer. She was to work with Khushi's team. Khushi welcomed the girl warmly despite her personal feelings as she was putting a professional front.

Suddenly, Anvesha asked Arnav, "Chalein Arnie?" Khushi looked at her in confusion, "Arnie?" To her surprise, Arnav's cheeks turned red. Hey Devi Maiyya! He blushes! Anvesha let out a laugh, "Yes! Arnie! College days mein he used to call me Annie and I called him Arnie!" Arnav cut her off, "Please Annie! Don't call me that here! I have a reputation! I am the owner here!" Anvesha laughed again, "Achcha baba theek hai! I won't call you Arnie, ok? Ab chalein?" "Chalein?", Khushi looked at them curiously. Arnav smiled at her, "I want to introduce her to Maan!" He looked at Annie, "Lets go baby girl!" Annie grinned happily, "Anytime handsome!" Arnav and Annie left the cabin and a shocked Khushi behind. Baby girl? Handsome? Hey Devi Maiyya!

Maan was confused to hear commotion outside his cabin. Yeh kaisa shor hai? Meri office mein yeh disturbance kaisi? He stormed out of the cabin in anger ready to reprimand the person making the noise only to be stopped short as, in front of him stood Geet, worriedly talking to rest of the employees who were gathered around her. "Dekhna Pinky... Kisne diya kuch samajh nahi aa raha!"

"Yahaan kya ho raha hai?" Maan roared and most of the employees scrambled away. Only Geet, Pinky, Adi, Sasha and Tasha remained behind while rest of the employees watched from the cubicles. "Dekho na MK! Yeh Geet...", Sasha started but Maan raised his hand and she stopped speaking. Maan looked at Geet sternly, "Geet! Yeh ho kya raha hai?" Geet bit her lip and spoke up hesitantly, "Maan Sir! Dekhiye na! Kisi ne... mere table pe... ek vase mein... yeh gulaab ka... guldasta rakha tha!" She showed him the bouquet of red roses which she was holding in her hand. Maan did not show any reaction and Sasha spoke up, "Dekhiya na MK! Without reason she is making such a fuss! Dediya hoga kisi ne! Pata nahi kyun hyper ho rahi hai yeh!"

Geet looked at Sasha with worry on her face, "Sasha Ma'am! Aapke yahaan yeh phoolon ka guldasta dena bahut aam hoga lekin humaare yahaan yeh aam nahi hai! Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha..." "Geet!", Maan called her but Geet continued to ramble, " yeh phool kisne diye hain, maine sab se poochke dekha..." "Geet!", Maan said in a slow voice but Geet did not listen, "Aur waise bhi main iss sheher mein kisko jaanti kahaan hoon..." "GEET!", Maan roared and Geet shut up mid ramble. He grabbed the bouquet and looked into her eyes, "Kaun ho sakta hai yeh pooch rahi ho? Yeh bhi nahi socha ki tumhaara Maan bhi ho sakta hai!" Geet's eyes widened while rest of the staff looked at Maan in shock. Maan Singh Khurana ne Geet Handa ko red rose ka bouquet diya? What the! But none of the staff spoke up as no one wanted to risk the wrath of Maan by opening their mouth.

Geet looked at Maan with wide eyes, who just looked at her tenderly and turned towards his staff, "Yes! Yeh guldasta maine hi Geet ko diya hai as she is my girlfriend!" Geet looked at him in wonder and then promptly blushed and looked away as the staff looked at her in shock and awe. Iss gaao ki ladki ne MSK ka dil jeet liya! Suddenly, everyone started seeing Geet in different light! Gone was the gaao ki gavaar and in place of it was a sweet and simple girl! All the girls started taking note of Geet's dressing style so that they also could dress up like that and win a rich guys' heart while men started looking at the girls of their office wondering whether anyone of them resembled Geet as they idolized Maan and followed his dressing style and habits diligently and now wanted girl just like Geet for themselves.

Arnav smirked at the scene in front of him as he walked towards the group standing in front of Maan's cabin. Toh pyar ki hawaa yahaan bhi chal padi? Interesting! Soon Maan vanished inside his cabin after creating the chaos in his Office with his one sweet gesture and Geet was left behind with shock on her face and the bouquet in her hands. She turned and saw Arnav coming towards her with girl behind him. He smiled at her and she smiled back shyly. She started to walk towards him when something obstructed her leg and she tripped on it and started to flail her hands trying not to fall on her face.

Sasha fumed as she looked the girl in front of her. Yeh ladki MK ko pasand aayi? Yeh? MK kya andhe hogaye hain jo ise chuna! Behenji kahin ki! Samajhti kya hai apne aapko! Pata nahi MK ne iss behenji mein kya dekha! Abhi mazaa chakaati hoon ise! She put her foot in front of Geet and Geet tripped. Sasha smirked as Geet flailed around and started to fall.

Geet closed her eyes as she fell forward but was shocked when her body did not meet the ground but was saved by two arms. The arms uprighted her and she opened her eyes to see Arnav stand in front of her. He gave her a reassuring smile and glared at someone behind her. She turned to look at the person Arnav was glaring at and was surprised to see Sasha. Yeh Arnav Sir Sasha ko kyun ghoor rahe hain? Sasha stormed away after noticing Arnav' glare.

"Tum theek ho?", Arnav asked Geet. Geet nodded.

"Tum iss Sasha se bachke rehna.", Arnav warned her.

Geet frowned and Arnav explained, "Tumhein abhi usi ne giraaya, apni taang adaakar!"

Geet's eyes widened in shock and then she looked at him in confusion.

Arnav understood her confusion and explained, "Maine kai baar Khushi ko complain karte hue suna hai ki Sasha har waqt use maska lagaati hai aur usse chipakne ki poori koshish karti hai!"

"Par kyun?", Geet looked at him confused.

"Kyunki Sasha Maan ko like karti hai aur sabko pata hai ki Khushi Maan ki jaan hai! Aur ab jab tumne Maan ka dil jeet liya hai, ab woh koi mauka nahi chodegi tumhein beizzat karne mein. So be careful!"

Geet nodded, "Main careful rahungi Sir!"

Then Arnav proceeded to introduce Geet to Annie and then took Annie to Maan's cabin to introduce her to Maan too.

Next chapter Khushi and Rajji approves their siblings' choice while Arnav continued to make Khushi jealous!

so he took annie to meet maan huh

ahhh kya scene tha
geet worried about the flowers and maan declaring it was him
haiyye and the way he said it tumhara maan and his girlfriend
had me fainting for sure
geet was all shy man
this sasha iski toh
geet chodna nahin tu isse
kameeni samjhati kya hai khud ko
tere se toh lakhon guna achi hai parkati
thank god aru was there for geet
such pettiness of sasha but good he warned her against sasha
at least this way she will be on the lookout
