The Vigil Idiot: 2 States

April 22, 2014 9:56 am by Sahil Rizwan

Before this film released, I realised that I'd never actually read a Chetan Bhagat novel. Having said that, I have seen every film that's been based on one of his books. And I actually even liked one of them... I think. This is all just to say that I wasn't completely biased against the guy like some of my friends seemed to be. Of course, this was before I saw debutant director Abhishek Varman's 2 States starring Arjun Kapoor as northie Krish and Alia Bhatt as Madrasi Ananya. Because, lemme tell ya, if this film is even half-faithful to anything Chetan Bhagat has written, I can see where my friends' extreme bias comes from!
