As for unexpected people winning critics, that hasn't been the case always. Vidya won for Ishqiya and Priyanka for 7 Khoon Maaf. Kareena has also won it twice. Also critics seems to appreciate Phantom members flicks a lot. Udaan and GOW won best movie awards in that category.

Exactly, Anurag Kashyap has Strong hold in critics, his production houses gets Critics as well as awards.

Those two were damn good movies. Well deserved imo.

Only snag was how PC got ignored in both categories for Barfi. Hope that doesn't happen with Kangy.

PC for Mary, Vidya for Bobby, Parineeti for HTP, Aalia for Highway should and would win. Kangana was good (but she's done better in Fashion, Gangster and Woh lamhe) but Pari and Aalia were better and PC Vidya might just gonna top even these 2.. let's see 😊
