I am gonna make bold(or easy) prediction that she'll grab at least one of those for Queen. I know still 2/3rd of the season left, but can't see a performance that got immense praise from critics, industry folks and general audience being ignored in both categories. Vidya, PC will give strong competition if they nail their roles but expect Kangy to win critics best actress then.

It can't be for Popular as Queen has not worked in Single Screens, but FF has given award to films not running in Single Screens also... so she can get any of that.

Cant say..until I watch PC in Mary Kom..Kangana should win the critics awards..But if PC does better..which has high chances..It will go to her..

They like to give the critics award to the one you least or rather dont even expect to be in the running to add credibility

ex - Richa Chadda and Shilpa Shukla

Popular is out of her reach , no connections and revolver rani 's bo performance will dilute her value

Popular will Be probably be Anushka's until and unless Mary Kom is some big hit 😆

As for unexpected people winning critics, that hasn't been the case always. Vidya won for Ishqiya and Priyanka for 7 Khoon Maaf. Kareena has also won it twice. Also critics seems to appreciate Phantom members flicks a lot. Udaan and GOW won best movie awards in that category.

I meant recently

Even Priyanka in 7KM was completely overshadowed by Vidya's year

Kangana for Queen on the other hand is a very expected winner

And she probably wont attend the awards anyway

That could be an issue. But I expect Kangy to show up eventually. This is the year she got some recognition from mainstream BW and she won't miss out on that opportunity. She's no Aamir Khan.
