After so many episodes of SHQ, Sanyu still remains one of my favorite characters...She isn't perfect but then nobody is, so there's no point bashing a character for it...
Sanyu entered as a strong and independent woman, and hence people are finding her annoying nowadays since she has become "dependent" on Randhir and Parth for a lot of things...But according to me, it's always a balance between man and woman in this world and they can NEVER be completely independent without the help of the other in their lives...this is what makes them whole...
Sanyu has always fought for her right to study and become an engineer, but that doesn't make her self-sufficient as a girl to get rid of goons when there is danger...So what if Parth came and helped her? Does it make Sanyu bad or a weak character?
Frequently nowadays she's been shown to slip and fall into one of the lead guys' arms, and I agree that this repetition is annoying -> but these minor things are no way a DEFINITION of a character, the "damsel in distress" things are only done by the writers in order to glorify the boys! Sad that many are unable to see that.
Sanyu was rank 300...but rose to rank 2. She wanted to help her dad and put in all of her efforts for the project, but that wasn't enough. Even the other dream team members couldn't aid in any way, and Randhir was the only guy left to approach, who happened to be genius. And as we all saw, even he appreciated Sanyu, saying not bad but still there are a lot of changes to be done...Which he volunteered to do, and did...So, saving a family by taking the help of someone who's more brilliant than her to solve a prob which is much more than their level, makes her a useless character?? and an incapable girl? I don't agree...
Sanyu has helped Parth, Sahil and many others but not explicitly shown to "help" Randhir...And hence, people point out that she has no concern for him and never understands his probs...During the renuka sanyal truth, yes she was rude to him initially and kept arguing with him as to why he couldn't approach her for the sake of dream team, and what if he hadn't spoken all these years?
Those statements were certainly out of her normal character...but remember, she was hugely tensed for the future of all of them and wanted to do anything possible to get the dream team back...and when Randhir wasn't showing involvement to talk to their sponsor abt it, she got mad and hence the outburst...gusse mein jo hum kehthe hain vh 90% of the times we don't mean it, right? That's exactly what happened with Sanyu...But she did later realise his strained relationship with his mother after Parth calmed her down...and she apologised for it, and ever since then she's also been advising him to mend his relation with her, trying her best to help him in her own nosey way...
About the revenge prank of making him fall down -> she wanted to destroy his inflated ego, but what Randhr did by telling her father could destroy her life...I'm definitely not bashing randhir, I just want to say don't bash Sanyu just for a prank she did on one she considers as an enemy...and about pranking someone who helped her hugely, we were shown Randhir helped in order to prove to Sanyu that she needs his intelligence and help, more than his genuine concern for her family...(Note, I'm not saying he had no concern, but just that his ego was bigger than the concern)...and again when she thanked him he insulted her and made her thanks look flattened...They both like to match each other and irritate each other and that's how they are, so stop bashing them...
Coming to the last...
Sanyu is STILL highly talented capable and sensible when it comes to her dream of engineering...How many of us felt proud when she steered the dream team to victory during the electricity challenge? She was better even than Parth...And during the bike challenge, when she didn't give up until the last minute, and fixed the issue and rode out to Vardhan sir and randhir...i just wanted to say, hats off!!!
So what if she didn't fix her dad's project on her own? Her worry for him and the entire family were also occupying her brain at the time...heard of even the most skilled doctors restricted from treating their own relatives? ...
Sanyu may not be perfect...but that is no reason to bash her...So pls guys, stop these wars and enjoy the show...And genuinely sorry, if you got bored by the lengthy post...
