Dissecting the SH TRIO (A post for all )

This post is essentially for everyone in the forum. You are all entitled to read it and comment if you like.

But if you think that after reading this you'll feel like venting out your frustration at me, then please don't bother to read any further. Because I made this with a lot of thought and it is the most logical explanation to the characters.

CHARACTER ARC EVALUATION

-What we expected and what we are getting and ways to salvage the plot!-

Sanyukta Agarwal: The entire plot of SH is centric to this lady. It's 'HER' story. She is the protagonist. So let us first discuss her, shall we?

So, 25th November 2013, SH aired for the first time on channel V. "Suvreen Guggal" had just ended and so 'V' came up with yet another 'women-inclusive' plot! Sanyukta, the girl who transcended the boundaries set by her 'male-dominant' jingoistic family and set out to make a mark in the soceity!!

In Sanyukta we got to see a girl who wanted to take on every challenge that came her way with fervour and zeal and overcome it! When the show started, Sanyukta became an instant favourite. Why? Because as women in this patriarchial soceity, we could relate to her hardships and her urge to prove herself!

She tried to solve every question on the board, tried to challenge the best of the best, applied for the post of 'class-rep' etc etc. I still remembering the rank 300 girl trying her best to match the rank 1. A guy like Randhir , who rarely ever spoke with 'girls' let alone challenge one, actually used to search her out and taunt her only because he wanted to see how much further she could push herself! A woman like Renuka Sanyal deemed her as a 'future-prospect' to greatness. Such was the charisma of Sanyukta Agarwal that professor Vardhan saw in her a spunk that reminded him of his 'love' Niharika!!

Sanyukta Agarwal was a character to reckon with...a girl to look upto...a figure to respect!

Have u noted the use of 'was' (Past Tense) here?? Well, we shall get to that later!!!!

Randhir Singh Shekhawat: Call him an MCP, call him 'rude', lash out at him...But at the end of the day, there is no denying that Randhir Shekhawat has got 'STYLE'!!!

So, what makes RD an MCP?? His family? His mom? His dad?? Sanyukta??

Well, for me, what makes him an MCP is 'neglect'. The plot of RD & his mom is yet to be explored. But no matter what explanation is given by the CVs, we all will agree to one thing...

May be his dad lied to him all along...May be all that renuka did was for her family...May be she does love RD a lot...Still...she is the 'MOTHER' right? At some point in time, a child needs a mother more than an entreprenour trying to secure his future! And that 'neglect' is what got RD to be where he is today...

He is rude...he says things that hurt other people...Why?? May be because he doesn't want to live upto people's expectations.

When you are good, people expect good from you...And then when you fail to deliver that 'good', people bash you!

All his life, RD expected a lot from his mom...and she turned out to be a monumental disappointment. May be that's the reason why he never chose to be 'good' in the first place. He never gives the chance to other people to expect anything from him and be disappointed like he was thanks to his mom!!!

Makes sense, right?

But despite his 'chauvinist' exterior, he has a golden heart. He has helped people who mean nothing to him. Sanyukta was his arch nemesis and yet he never failed to be her 'beacon' of hope in desparate times! He became Jiggy's first friend...He never discriminated Yo Yo...He even stood up and fought for Kaustuki in the 'village arc' when she was eve-teased by the CITE team. And of course, he saved Parth...despite the fact that he doesn't have a good equation with the latter!!

So again I say... Call him an MCP, call him 'rude', lash out at him...But at the end of the day, there is no denying that Randhir Shekhawat has got 'STYLE'!!!

Parth Kashyap: So here comes the most 'debated' man of the series!!! So, let's focus on him, shall we?

Why was Parth introduced in a show that already had a female protagonist (Sanyukta), a male protagonist (Randhir), a guide cum mentor (Vardhan), a villain (Vidushi)...?

So why was he introduced??

Here's my theory. Parth was introduced to make Sanyukta realize that not every guy in her life will be an MCP. There are exceptions! And Parth was meant to be the exception and the bridge between SanDhir!

He is suave, compassionate, patient, understanding etc etc!!

BUT...BUT...BUT...

Parth was the perfect chance for the CVs to show something different, something that would redefine 'Indian Tele soaps'...Parth could have been the epitome of 'pure friendship'. Parth could have been that support in Sanyukta's life which would make her 'STRONGER' morally!!! Parth could have been that person in RD's life who would make him realize that sometimes there are things that girls do better than guys...and that's not just confined to cooking & household chores. Parth was supposed to be the sane one out of the trio...the most balanced, level-headed and mature friend!

"Again have u noted the use of 'was' (Past Tense) here???" Let me explain then!

So here comes the interesting part...the part where we evaluate where the CVs did the damage...

So 3 months after the show started, we come to the 'Dream team' contest...

At that stage, Sanyukta has already proved her worth countless times and has earned her right to be in the team.

And viola! Enter Parth...and *KABOOM*

Gone is the old Sanyukta, only to be replaced by a poorer and pitiable version!!!

Suddenly, the girl who used to challenge the rank 1 is now incapable of walking without falling into someone's arms...The girl who earned her place in the 'DREAM TEAM' can't solve a single problem by herself. The girl who was a believer in honesty and simplicity becomes this manipulative emissary whose only aim is to prove how much RD is inferior to Parth.She succumbs to her family's pressure instead of fighting it out like she always used to.

One fine day she just goes and hugs Parth while he is wailing about his past...seeing his plight, she is moved to tears herself. And a guy says that he hasn't seen his mom for effing 12 years and she responds with a "Toh kya hua??"

I mean, seriously?? So she hugs Parth, consoles Sahil and yet makes the person who stayed up all night to help her fall at her feet!! Why?? Because he refused her 'thanks'!!! Wow!!! brilliant CVs! Hats off! You guys are sure trying to portray a lot of positivity into young minds such as ours! So this means, we are supposed to take revenge when someone helps us!!!! Right, gotcha!

And then of course, there's a hue and cry..."SaRth scenes hataao...SanDhir scenes lao.." etc etc...

So what do the CVs do?? They think, arey inhe toh SanDhir scene chahiye...Achha ruko...

So the next day, Sanyukta suddently jumps at RD and hugs the guy she 'HATES' and teases him. WOW!!!!!! SanDhir walon, u are guys are happy right???

Jhumo...celebrate...we got a SanDhir hug! Toh kya hua ki isme actaully Sanyukta ka character ka balidaan ho gya! Hum toh celebrate karenge!!!! -_-

Now then, RD was someone who 'HATED' girls. But now he is suddenly all besotted with sanyukta...I mean, YES, that was destined to happen...But like this???

I thought that someday Sanyukta will do something that will leave him startled and he will finally realize the true power of WOMEN and shed his chauvinism. Arey but, nhi...He toh fell head-long for her feminine looks! Waah bhai waah...way to spoil an awesome character! So damn CLICHE!!!!!

And Parth...I had so much hope from him! He was supposed to be the 'light' in the 'dark'.

But no!!! Let's dissect him.

So he knows 'Taichi', he had a traumatised past, he was a cobbler-kid, but he has learnt the art of controlling 'TEMPER' at the mere age of 18-19, he is sweet, he is kind, he believes in falling in love only once, he has already found & lost his true love, he joined a fight-club and emerged the winner, he fights goons, he knows 'Shayari'...and now HE CAN SUCK OUT POISON?????

Ladies and ladies (Since there are very few gentlemen in the forum), we have a 'SuperHuman' admist us!!!!! *Faints in astonishment*

I hoped so much from him...and he turned to be the biggest disappointment!!! Parth Kashyap was supposed to be a 'Near to Perfect' HUMAN... not some 'arcane' superhuman!!!!! -_-

It isn't often that we obssess so much over some fictional characters! And SH writers made us fall for this show right from the go. It would be a shame to come all this way and massacre the plot by including some frivolous and monotonous sequences!

SH has always been at par with reality...then why deviate now? Why show stuff that doesn't happen? Why show characters that aren't believable? Instead why not take those same characters and make real yet inspirational? Is that too much to ask?? Is it wrong to be skeptical about some things that are being shown? And i don't just mean 'Parth' when i say this! (Let me get that straight).

'Sadda Haq' is "His story became Her story"...If we dissect that, then what it essentially speaks of is how a 'genre' which is premused to be 'male-dominant' was chosen by a girl and she excelled in it. On the way to the pinnacle of her success, she changed the attitude of the guy who opposed her and ended up entwining her fate with his. And she also found friends who held her hand in this journey - Kaustuki, Jiggy, Yo Yo, Parth etc.

At some point, Sanyukta has to find out about Kaustuki-Jiggy-Yo yo thingy. What do u think will happen then? Of course she'll put her best foot forward and help them. She has already helped Sahil...She is bound to help Vidushi someday when the latter finds out just how much sanyukta has done for her.

But what about RD? She HAS to acknowledge RD someday too and change her attitude towards him too! If Parth has problems regarding his past, sanyu is the one who can help him out as well!

I think it is quite clear that in every step the 'Trio' will be there now that Parth has been introduced and is here to stay.

We can't avoid the 'Trio'...But the CVs can sure handle them better. It is a 'triangle'...it will always be a 'triangle'...

But does that mean that it has to be as cliche as a "love triangle"???

The show called "Grey's Anatomy" was Meredith Grey's show entirely. It was about her. And yet, the writers made sure to not lose their way at any point. Even when Meredith fell in love, she still remainded independent and strong-willed. They still portrayed her friendship with her best friend Christina. They still showed how she fought through and became a successful doctor. That is something I expect from SH. We don't want chanracters to be introduced to show Sanyukta the way. She has to find it herself! Therein lies her acheivement! Yes, we do need her to find someone in the same wavelength as she is, who can act as her moral support (Parth). We also want her to find 'true love'. Because 'LOVE'doesn't happen overnight. Love is too complicated to be chosen the easier way. Love is a bliss when you have to fight HARD to win it!!! If not that, then it isn't love, it's infatuation.

PPS : Anyone is free to voice their opinion and counter the post. But please make your point valid. Give justification and don't just write 'anything' u feel like!!

Some times in my frustration i overlook so many key points.
This was much needed to bring on the logical things.

I seriously dont understand where the cv's are going with this unlessour theories are correct 😉

But on a more serious note. I feel like you are my soul sister. You have spoken everything that was in my mind and more.

I hate the way they have assasinated sanyu's character. Lead character ka thoda toh lihaz rakhlete. I hate everything about her these days. She makes girls shameful.

And RD though i love seeing the softer side of him. I hate the reason for it. It should be cause of sanyu- his story is now her story../ His change should be cause of her not because of xyz reasons...
P.s that style part was bang on ;) You can love him...hate him...but cant ignore him...

And coming to parth...I seriously dont understand the need for this character...No matter how much i try...SH was going so fabulously...And then came the saint *sighs* and thus the downfall started. A different unique show has turned into a cliched comedy circus to accomodate one character. Its pathetic.

I just hope CV's understand where they are going wrong and rectify it soon...jitni der karenge utna damage hoga and it will become more tough to redeem the show...

Thank you for this post...I agree the most with the point that I wanted randhir to fall in love with sanyukta for her character and when he realizes tht women can actually do things too..when he realizes the importance of her in his life..when maybe sanyukta genuinely helps him out of his problems with his mother..then they actually respect each other..

Ohkay! Jokes apart, this is the most developed and decent post on this forum. I really don't think so that ispe koi controversy hogi.

I so agree with you like cent percent and word to word.
I started watching SH for Sanyukta but now I can't tolerate that character on my screen.
SH was the show that HAD different concept but nowadays woh different concept chhod ke I get to see every god damn thing.
I WANT to see an independent and mature Sanyu.
But I GET to see her slipping at every step and making Randhir fall at her feet (kyu? Arey usne thankyou accept nahi kiya) (-_-)
Lame as I call it!
I WANT to see progress in SanDhir.
But I GET to see their relation back to square one every time they make some kinda progress.
Its like if they take one step forward then the very next moment they are shoved two step backwards.
I WANT to see so many unexplored tracks of Vardhan, Niharika, Kabir,Randhir ,his past and so many other b'ful tracks.
But what I get to see is Parth getting a Guitar and then behaving like weirdos. (-_-)
I don't know why CVs are hell bent in destroying every other character for the sake of one Whiter than White character whom I don't find realistic at all. (-_-)
At last I WANT to see Parth as normal human being.
But I get to see a Superman🤣

Actually leave it! I don't want to see Parth at all...Its not that I hate his character from the very beginning but its because of the present situation... how his character has got shaped! Arghh !
His character could have been so good and better than this. But he turned out to be
the biggest disappointment.

"PARTH IS MAKING HER CHARACTER WEAK. WHEN I SEE SARTH I ONLY FIND PARTH AS SINGLE LEAD AND NO SANYUKTA.

Sanyukta has lost that spark. The present wimpy girl is not even the glimpse of Sanyukta Aggarwal for whom I started watching the show.
In nut shell..
SH is going off track!
Sanyu is turning into a Shellfish day by day,
Randhir...god knows what CVs have planned for him in future(-_-) As of now he's the only sensible character.

I don't this sanyukta parth have a pure friendship which I was searching for..I loved their friendship till the day they had that awkward intimate scene..after that day all their scenes are just blah..I hate love triangles..just shows tht people can't handle a boy and girl being just good friends..

Parth's entry has really affected the show negatively..as I had told earlier to fit him in the show and show his qualities sanyukta has been shown dumb and stupid which she wasn't until his entry..

I expected a more mature approach from the cvs in the previous tracks which obviously didn't happen..
