where were the policemen?

how is it possible that the policemen let Bani accompany Jay to the hospital? they didn't accompany them at all. afterall it's a police case and they were even present at the spot. moreover they rescued them from a bomb blast. isn't it a law proceeding?????? or were the two super cops busy doing some cinematic dhishoom dhishoom with the remaining of the bomb shells???

plus the sidekick was helpin solve the Sahil murder case... if and when he sees Bani will he recognise her?
