Okay...phew, that took me a long time to write today's review...my God, even a thesis is easier to write. My brain was not working properly, I wonder why... So please, bear with me today. If it is not up to the mark it is only because it was very hard to find the right words to describe the actual feeling... Enjoy and if not, well better luck next time!

April 24 - Dil Dhadakne Do

Let me start this review by telling the most important ingredients for a suhaag raat (in my opinion) and in no particular order:
- Ingredient # 1 - Sexual tension
- Ingredient #2 - Teasing/ Naughtiness
- Ingredient #3 - Temptation/seduction
- Ingredient #4 - Love and trust
- Ingredient # 5 - Passion

Pichle kuch dino se, I think for a week now, the promo of the suhaag raat has been on air and making all TP lovers go crazy. And today, it was finally D-day. The moment we all have been waiting for...so was it worth the wait?

It started off with a cute nok jhok between Anshu and Paakhi, typical boy-girlfriend. The fun continued in the garden of the Rathore mansion, but soon that fun changed into something very else...

Wait, did I forget something in the list of ingredients? Oh yes, how can I forget the desire? It is very much needed because it arouses a certain raw feeling in the human body. Pure human feelings, it is very natural. The desire continues on the terrace of the Rathore mansion. Nice decoration, candles, curtains, hawa, music...in short, Anshuman had taken care of everything.
What follows is for most of us, including myself, almost impossible to describe in words lekin phir bhi I will try to control my dhadkane and write as good as I can.

We have Anshuman in a black V-neck shirt and Paakhi in a very beautiful pink-ish sari. A totally mesmerized Anshuman can't take his eyes of the woman he is in love with aur who bhi in a saree because to him she looks the most beautiful in a saree. A bit of teasing, being a bit naughty, tempting and seducing each other and the passionate looks, it was all there.
What happened to the other ingredient? No tension, it was there.

By far, the most important two things for a consummation are pyaar, ishq, mohabbat. Love's best friend is trust and these two cannot live and function without each other. If one is missing than the other will be incomplete. Today there was love, which was very obvious. Was the best friend there as well? Yes, otherwise they would not have taken this to the next level (almost).

Every single ingredient was there; not too much or less, just enough which made it very tasteful. What made this scene so pure, serene, and beautiful? The answer lies definitely in the direction and the acting. Save the last for the best so let me start with the technical part; the direction.
Tumhari Paakhi has never been disappointing, if I may say so. Personally, it has always lived up to my expectations, perhaps because I did not have (still do not have) any high expectations of the show. Why? Because at the end of the day, this is a Hindi drama show and the only language that is being understood is TRPs. One never knows when the logic and the goodness of a show go downhill so it is really better to keep your expectations low, to have none at all preferably.
Thank God, TP has maintained the logic in the show till now. Today they proved yet again, why this show is so different than others and why it is going right on track. The CVs and writers handled the suhaag raat' with utmost care. Ambiance was created; actors were in character, lights, camera, action...

Camera work was absolutely fantastic; scenes were shot very nice from very good angles. Coming to the action part, reminds me of only two persons...The male and female lead aka Anshuman Rathore and Paakhi aka Iqbal Khan and Shraddha. First word that comes to my mind is WOW. These two actors nailed it today. Ladies first...

Paakhi (Shraddha) - She has been in love with Anshuman for years now. If there was not love from her side, then hell no she would have waited 18 long years for him. This confirmation' of his love is the sone pe suhaga for her. This is what she was waiting for her; to make him feel realize that he has love for her. She is enjoying this boy-girlfriend thing, it has changed her too. Of course, she was shy and a bit coy but that is how lead actresses in Hindi drama shows behave. But she wants to take this relationship to the next level too, to take that daring step to become one with her husband, Anshuman. Shraddha acted really well. She was not overacting and even the teasing seemed so natural. Nothing looked forced or out of character. She looked very pretty too, beautiful saree.

Anshuman (Iqbal) - This young man is realizing his love for his wife, or rather girlfriend now, more and more. He was pretty sure today that she is it for him. His dil ki dhadkan have started to beat or even better...ehsaas ab hua hain. Anshuman was totally in character today. The love and trust was there, that yes-this-feels-good feeling. Those five ingredients oh yes this man had it all today! And the credit can only go to one person and that is none other than Iqbal Khan himself. If you are a fan of Iqbal, or just like him as an actor, you will love one thing for sure about him; his voice. The deep, manly, husky voice made most of us go week in the knees. He had this mix of expressions today: vulnerable yet confident, sweet yet passionate, calm yet sharp, romantic yet dreamy. To be honest, I can go on and on but I can only say one thing: you gotta see it to believe it!

Favorite scenes/dialogues:
- He will make pakodas of those flowers? Really...tum bhi na Anshuman, kuch bhi
- Mein chat (terrace) pe tumhara intezaar karoonga'
- Anshu remembers their first meeting. Chupa rustam!!!
- His half confession about how his dil has started to beat now and how he has changed now
- His fierceness. The way he pulls her face close to his and then the way he grabs her hair and gives that one little fierce pull, that just did it for me. That was pure raw desire.

All good things come to an end, so it this suhaag raat. So this was it? Not at all, in fact they never consummated! Everything went well, until Paakhi got pain in her stomach. Is it just a food poisoning? If so, a coincidence or planned by someone? (No points for guessing the person). Only time will tell.

To be honest, I am glad they did not consummate. Before they do that, I want Anshuman to confess and say those three magical words to Paakhi. The asli suhaag raat will also happen for sure but only when the time is right. Until then, please keep your hands off each other but but but Anshuman...you, do not stop that dil ki dhadkan. Aise hi dhadakne do...

P.S. This is totally my personal opinion. You may agree or not, which is totally fine even about those ingredients 😊

Wow what a well analysed take on the Epi..

Really enjoy reading each bit of your post and dont know what to write after such a perfect observation and analysis..😊

liked the ingredient list you penned down and is perfect for a SR..creatives build up the scenario so well to Ankhi nearly consumming ..as per the list teasing with their Nok-Jhok in garden..next both wet and the desire was visible esp from Anshuman side to him saying i will wait for you on terrace..He makes a perfect romantic decor and what you mentioned above all follows step by step. seduction.. passion were there from both partners..that particular bit when Anshuman tries to leave and pakhi on the swing just holds his hand and with her head makes the sign of a dont go..

Agree with you every bit of that scene was well executed..camera angle was fantastic..i liked the camera work with the flying curtains with Ankhi and pakhi on that rail of the terrace with Anshuman so close to her..hats off to the TP team for such creativity work for making Ankhi moment so mesmerising and captivating..

last iqbal..shradda nailed it with an outstanding performance..no sign of awkwardness..nervousness but all just flow in front of us so naturally.. thats the sign of how talented actors can bring the best out of such a scene without being OTT...No doubt both are immensely talented and so comfortable with each other..no need to work on the chemistry level as its always there once they are in same frame..

Once more lovely take and keep it up..👍🏼

You write so well that i wait for your post . you just bring magic the way you described the whole episode which itself was magical , flowed on its on ,not a hint of any vulgarity . Iqbal really is brilliant as this one is mine first show of his . He was not once crossed the line as i feel there is very thin line between these kind of scenes . Pakhi was also in sync with him ,she has waited for her husband for such a long years and now she has been accepted from heart . Credit also goes to makers who weaved kind of spell with Anshuman,s dialogues , talking about his heart and beautiful fairy who casted spell on him . and should be thanking the makers for going
exquisite jewelry where she was not over decked up . i think this is one USP of this show also

Saveeta, how do I thank you for your kind words? Really, thank you so so so much.
Believe me, it was not the most easy episode to write about. It could have been either a very short or a long one. I choose the latter, since I wanted to try to explain the feeling in words lekin kuch cheezein sirf mehsoos kiya jaate hain.
Nevertheless, the episode rocked and all thanks to such brilliant actors for giving an outstanding performance as Anhusman Rathore and Paakhi. 👏

Thanks for your support once again!

Neerja...did I say it right? 😉
You write such nice, sweet and good comments that I wait for your comments. It encourages me to write more and better. Thanks a lot for that!

This episode has to be one of the best till now and even the SR was one of its kind. Iqbal and Shraddha were outstanding. Indeed like you said, nothing vulgar about it and credit for that goes to the director and the actors. Team work really pays off and how... 👏
