okay well i don't think that there's anything wrong with international talent being included in indian reality shows like srgmp ..... but there is one major issue that needs to be looked at carefully ....
let's take yogi (yogendra patak) for example, i believe in the last episode he said that he was actually from india but had given his audition in london .... so if he resides in india .... how does that make him an international participant? .... unless he meant that he's originally from india but is settled in london now .... but it didn't seem like that was what he meant cause that statement would probably apply to many of the international participants ..... so there is of course this point - what exactly makes an individual an international participant - audition site or site of residence ..... this also applies to the participants from within india .... i'm sure there are many participants (i believe they've shown this in indian idol) who audition in many different cities with the hope that they might make it in another city ..... so in a competition like srgmp where the country is also divided amongst the music directors ..... how does this work out? .....
( waise btw can i just say that i totally disagree with this division of the country and the world they've done .... wasn't this one of the arguments of the last season ..... that they wanted india's voice-not the voice of a particular region .... well now if they want a global voice than each gharana should be well rounded ..... i like they way they've split up the participants from pakistan - 1 for each, but why is the rest of the world divided up? .... why is bhapi lahiri the only one who can have north american participants? .... and what about vishal and shekar - they both said that they didn't find the kind of talent they were looking for barring one person .... so i completely disagree with dividing up the international regions like this ..... sorry 😳 ... my rant went on for a little too long 😕) .... okay coming back to the main topic 😆....
okay now there is one major reason why i agree with them allowing international talent to take part in the show ..... since they've been allowing international voting since last season via the internet .... why shouldn't there be an opportunity for the international talent to compete? .... and as kabhi_21 said .... although international talent may have better economic positionings but then we may lack the cultural setting appropriate for the kind of music in question .... although i guess this is on the rise as well (sorry underlined the first "may" since it isn't necessary that you can afford musical training just because you live abroad - i for one can't 😆)
Navy - good poiints, like the way you respect the purpose of this section and mark the off topic comment appropiately.
I feel still its unfair to get the international candidates in indian shows. I encourage the competition but its unfair. Take example of cinestar where finalist girls were from out of India and were groomed in all aspect as compared to Indian girls who were talented but were not groomed to that level whatever the reason be.
Ok this is tangent - in engineering admissions for free seats state goverment forces that the person should be domiciled canditate to get free seat. Why?
Aren't there privileges to given to people who wish to stick to a state or a country?

--- you raise a valid point here ..... and when you put it that way i guess it depends on the particular contest and the requirements of the contest .... while the international candidates may have had an upper hand in a competition that is practically based on grooming and looks .... contests where singing is involved and the judges are people who are looking for very very specific things .... international contestants may not have the upper hand
--- at the same time ........ if shows were to stop people from participating from outside the country ..... then they need to remove the voting systems that allows international votes to count ...... as far as i know indian idol follows the same format as its counterparts in other countries in the fact that only votes from within the country count .......... but honestly i don't see zee removing the international system anytime soon as it helps boost trps - i don't know if anyone remembers but last season srgmp was able to boast about the amounts of votes it was getting ........ but that was partly because it included a lot of international votes which do not cost anything to give .... while the audiences in india paid to sms ...... i myself was able to give every contestant ten votes each for free .... all it took was a "refresh" of the browser and i could vote again - free of charge (other than what i pay for my internet service .... but i'd pay that montly whether or not i was voting😆)
--- and since you did bring up the grooming point ..... what about the economic differences within the country ......... i'm sure there are differences between the indian participants too ..... what about that? ..... should these contests only be open to people who don't have the economic backing to fulfill their dreams? - - - i for one would endorse that ....... i wish people would take the initiative to help fulfill the dreams of people who need the financial help ..... and not just look for the participants that are well groomed and will help raise trps

--- alright i can't comment too much on this as i don't know enough to ...... but doesn't this have to do with taxes? .... and taxpayer dollars going to free seats for people from within the state? .... okay i'm a little confused by where you're headed here .... can you elaborate a little (sorry😳)?
--- and btw .... you can call me tasha (i think i told you this before .... but i haven't posted anything in a while so you may have forgotten😆)
