This is just a speculation post & not to bash anyone. Over the past few weeks I have been reading about the various star kids that will be making their mega debut! Tiger, Harsh, Rathi Agnihotri's son, Jhanvi Kapoor, Suraj Pancholi are some names that come to mind immediately. There are more that I cannot remember but seem to be in waiting. Ofcourse there are a ton who have already taken the industry by storm over the past few years.
So is bollywood shut to outsiders? Is it going to be a big family business? Just imagine why production houses would bother to invest on someone they do not know? It is in their interest to keep it in the family so that money stays inside. Seems like the culture of Nepotism is only going to get bigger. Imagine all the other kids in waiting. Everyone desires to take up acting & deserves a chance. They have all the right contacts, insider information. I can already see various yesteryear stars grooming their kid for the big debut!
Where does that leave us poor audiences? Yes, we have one of the best currently in Ranbir Kapoor but I cannot imagine having more Abhis & Udays forced on us. Also are there any producers willing to keep the flow of outsiders so that kids can still have a dream of making it in bollywood? Or are we doomed to accept the inevitable & pray that there are more Ranbirs than Uday in the mix?
