A Zaya Oneshot

Aliya's POV
"What is my fault in that?" She cried, "It was Mir Khan!" She shook Zain. His face did not show any emotion and his brown eyes were devoid of any warmth.
Everyone was standing in a big circle glaring at her, their eyes judging her, accusing her. Barkhat was sobbing in Surraiya's arms, who had a vicious smirk on her face. Aliya felt exposed, she felt guilty, even though it was not her fault.
Zain slowly lifted his hands, holding hers, and pried them of him, slowly. Like he wanted to see her expression of horror and dawning realisation, while her heart broke into several pieces. He does not believe me.
She was pulled back, and looked behind to see Nafeesa holding her arm. "You didn't think that once you found Barkhat you would be the Queen, did you?" She came closer to her and whispered, "People like you have no place in this house", and started dragging her towards the door. She looked back and saw nothing but cold expressions, with a touch of sadness and confusion on Osman's, Fahad's and Zain's faces, though no one came forward to say anything.
Suddenly, she felt very angry. Osman and Fahad, surprisingly, she could understand. Zain on the other hand, she had felt that they shared something special. They had been through so much together. She risked her life to save his sister, and now when she needed him...
She broke free of Nafeesa's hold, walked and stood in front of Zain.
Slap!
The sound echoed in the whole house. Zain's head was tilted and his hand was holding his rapidly bruising cheek. He lifted his head up and nearly staggered back by seeing the rage in those chocolate pools.
"This slap was because I foolish enough to come with you to save your bloody sister from Mir Khan, who by the way, would not think twice before killing me."
Slap!
"This slap was because you weren't with your wife when she needed you the most. Some shauhar you are."
Slap!
Osman came ahead to stop her from slapping Zain into pulp, but stopped on her next words.
"This was because you, Zain Abdullah, are truly a coward of a man."
Coward of a man.
Coward.
Coward.
Coward.
She had hit it on the right spot. The look of hurt that had flashed on his face wanted to make her cry or hug him. But instead, she turned around, drinking in the sight of disbelief etched on the face of the people of the Barkhat Villa, Surraiya's smirk less face and the expression of the men like she had physically hurt them (which was true in Zain's case).
She looked at Zain one more time, whose head was bowed, her lips thinned and eyes became colder, and then she walked out of Barkhat Villa, forever.
