'no more cameo roles for me'shweta gulati

Shweta Gulati doesn't want to repeat past career mistakes.

Shweta Gulati, who's still remembered as Tia of Remix, will soon be back on the small screen. After a brief break, the actor is all set to sign new projects. But in the meanwhile, she has done a few small roles in Ek Chabi Hai Pados Mein and Pyar Ke Do Naam Ek Radha Ek Shyam. So, what prompted her to take up these roles instead of looking for a lead role? "That was a conscious decision. After Remix I was taking a break, but I didn't want to sit home doing nothing. But no more cameos for me now. Back then, I didn't want to commit to a show so I chose something that wouldn't take up too much of my time," says Shweta.

Shweta, who's still remembered as Tia, has no complaints that she often that she still remembered for that role. "I am still recognised as Tia and I have no complaints. It's been a year now and all of us are still remembered by the characters that we played," she says. According to rumours doing the rounds, the serial may be revived. So, has Shweta been approached for it? "I have heard the rumours that the serial may return for another season, but no one has approached me as yet. I wouldn't mind being part of Remix again," she says.

Shweta who started doing theatre with Kkkiran says she is absolutely in love with it. "I am willing to do theatre even after taking up the new projects. It's such a high to get reactions from the audience within moments of your performance. In fact, I have been troubling people to consider me if they are planning any play in the near future," she adds.

Shweta has stayed away from the saas-bahu serials, why so? "That's because I don't look like a bahu right now. Five years later no one is going to ask me to play younger characters so why should I jump into doing something that's not meant for me right now. Also, with age leaps I may have to play a saas within six months time. And that's unimaginable," she laughs.

dnt knw hw much to read into dis whether to be excited or just to let it pass coz since the last one year we hav been doing nothing but hearing dese wage rumours wat wld d star people giv us remix back wen dey cant even giv us reguler remix reruns neways if dis happens den nothing can surpaass it i wld get to see my Ashi again wat more can i ask for except that this time Shrishty Arya has some sense and she doesnt go about ruining the whole charm of Remix as she so easily and convineantly did in Second Season which perhaps was the main reasons for its abrupt end...but as per me this is a rumour only and daats it..indian tv is not that bold enough to let carachters like Ashi Yuvi servive coz dese two hav the guuts to sho all its parvatis and prernas and mihirs daat waat hallow nautankies dey r
