Who is that hostage in that cave?
1) It cannot be atagah because he threatened adham khan after maham met that man in cave
2) It cannot be anyone from jalal's family like gulbadan, hamida, ruqaiah, salima, bakshi or rahim because if that happens jalal comes to know will kill maham
3) It cannot be sharifuddin as he is maham's ally nor sujamal as he cannot be captured easily
4) It can never be bairam khan as he is dead
So who is inside that cave
Here i am trying to guess
The person inside the cave is someone very close to jalal/humayun/hamida because he knows where abouts of shahi mohur which only hamida/jalal or humayun ever had with them. So he is some minister or a loyal servant inside the palace of humayun most probably. Because if jalla/hamida servant missing they would discover and search.
Now this is what i think Shenaz is that man in cave's daughter and when maham tried to kidnap him she escaped but was hit on head and lost memory or something. Remember she came to mathura only 2 months back. So she comes to agra fort with akbar and jodha and maham sees her there but cannot recall who she is.
Meanwhile todarmal comes to agra to be his minister(in history he became finance minister of mughal empire 3 years before Akbar married Jodha) and he and Akbar talk of shahi mohur. In order to get that shahi mohur that Shenaaz starts to get close to akbar and create misunderstanding between him and Jodha But Shenaz falls for him in that process.
Meanwhile Adham kills Atagah and jalla kills Adham so maham wants revenge on jalal. Maham goes and threatens Shenaz whom she remembers as that caveman's daughter to kill jalal if she wants her father alive. Again benazir scenario jodha comes to know of shenaz intention but jalla thinks she is an innocent girl and jodha simply telling. Again Shenaz cannot be proved guilty and all hungama like benazir track
