i totally agree with the points, in focusing on Rudra's pain the story is getting lost...i wish they focused on other characters too

The former i agree but the latter i do not.

Thanks Shal and I respect your opinion completely too. I am definitely not in the group who thinks she should quit because the PH is using her, that is absurd because she is a big girl and fans don't dictate what she should or should not do. My complaint is about the writing only...I do wish her character was developed better as it is for Rudra. They have a well-defined role for him, clear thoughts and actions that make sense, while they change Paro along the way, to suit the situation and she ends up not making sense or connecting with the audience.

Sanaya Irani was the only reason watching the serial and the promo showed the journey of a young woman but the exact opposite is happening in the serial and the CVs have butchered her character which has made me disappointed and angry
The marriage track was the last nail in the coffin and have stopped watching it as i cant relate to serials without strong female character

Before I could react to NB's post, it was closed. She already said it perfectly. As a viewer i do not mind watching a show which is journey of a larger-than-life male protagonist. But that was not what the show promised to offer.

Supposing it is love story (or love-hate story), I would like to echo what TM said, "Convince me that this really is a love-hate story between TWO characters." I don't see that at all. Its like the FL is filling in the gaps or being put wherever the the makers fill that the ML needs a prop for his performance. That's not how a love-story is made.

However, this was not the case in the beginning. Rather, Paro had some strong emotional sequences... although very few, but those were promising. And as Diya said in NB's post, suddenly the makers thought the sympathy part should be reserved for the male lead only and to keep that sympathy steady, they decided to ignore the other's lead's emotional and psychological state. There are so many inconsistencies in her character since Thakur's revelation. I just don't understand what does she want or feel. May be, I am a dumb audience.

It seems to me that the makers never had a clear picture of the basic theme of the story which is, 'loves conquers all'.. They set the tune in the first episode..showed how the painful past contributed in developing two opposing philosophies in their mind and how unfortunately their paths crossed. I was intrigued at their journey and was hoping to see an exceptionally convincing tale where the all-white, innocent and positive Paro brings light in Rudra's dark life.

And suddenly everything was lost. Paro decided to enter into a man's life because his name goes well with her name according to mythological stories. o. Or may be because she has no place to go. Or may be she loves him and wants to tale care of him. Or... I don't know. (All these reasons came from IF posts, i didn't get to understand them by watching the show).

And the man breaks down every other day.. claims that he hates beautiful women, but i do not see him sticking to that...

That was not all, now it has all gathered into the kitchen, where chilli powders, milk and pumpkins guide their path!

I don't believe this is how they envisioned the story when they started the project. Having an actor like Sanaya Irani is a blessing and they just do not know how to use her. It is unfortunate to see her doing back to back aimless shows.

Very well said, I completely agree with you. The two major issues with the show is: a) RR's storyline and b) Paro's character - neither are well-defined. There is no direction for either and that is why the show hasn't connected with the larger audience yet. If they wanted this to be a passionate love-hate story, stick to it. Focus on the emotions and drama surrounding both the lead characters. At this point, I'd rather have Laila back in the story...at least a love triange would bring much-needed intensity, passion and drama to the show. Why have this "rom-com" track and drag in Rudra's family and I don't even want to get into how inconsistent they have been with Paro's feelings and reactions. And I don't want to have to come to the forum to read other's interpretations to understand it. That is too much work. It's time consuming and I'd rather let the actual showrunners explain their story to me.

Somehow i am not inclined to the view that Sanaya is not being given her due and that her talent is not being used. She is an experienced actress and if we can see what Paro is and how she is coming across, I am sure she can also see that. Comparisons with what happened to her character in the last show are unwarranted because that show and character was her big break on a popular channel so there might not have been a lot of choice...in any case that show is the reason she is a TV star right now. Anyway the point i am making is that RR is her choice completely..she was in a position to pick and choose this time. So i assume she knows what she is doing. And if anyone is insinuating that she is being used then i guess they have to accept that she made a bad choice.

If you talk abt Paro's character I agree that the change around with her suddenly falling in love and wanting to get married was done very hurriedly and didn't make sense. We were not acquainted with her thought process behind that sudden turn around. But as such that is my problem with the show as a whole and especially in terms of Parud scenes...many have been talking abt the missing thehraav in their scenes and I agree to that. Most of the times the scenes jump abruptly and one is left guessing what did Paro feel and what did Rudra feel. Personally for me i lost my connect with Paro when she came back to Rudra in the captor- captive phase...for a few weeks after that i couldn't relate to either Paro or Sanaya's acting...maybe because all that was given to the character was a perpetual frown on her face. But with the fake marriage she was back in her element till that sudden turnaround with the proposal scene.

I also don't buy the thought that TRPs are low because Paro's character is not given enough importance or screen space. The TRPs have been lower than expected from the first week itself. And they have kind of stagnated there. At that time Paro did have equal importance and screen space. I am not a TRP audience and neither have i watched many hindi shows so i don't know what is the reason because i do feel that the show is still pretty good and definitely not how it is being projected in the TRPs.

I would also like to add that i am really enjoying Ashish as Rudra. The thing which irritates me much more than his screen space is KCM and Sumer scenes...they have become too repetitive and OTT for me. I wish they got back Thakur and Thakurain back.

👏 Totally agree with you especially the bold part!

Oye Pri.. I never knew you could be this "explosive"... Given your otherwise chilled nature, I can see that the creatives of RR have really tested your patience to the highest degree... Becharay unko kyaaa pataa kis se ulaj rahe hai... When your last string snaps, u can take down the entire team!
Coming to your contentions... Seriously speaking I see the validity behind your complaints. Paro's pain was not at all highlighted as much as it deserved. Sunara had a post on this earlier and I completely agreed with her. It is way too much for a girl to lose her parents, her relatives, her husband, her home, and her dreams... Paro deserved a real breakdown scene. So yes Paro's character is neglected as far as this part is concerned.

However, I won't still say that RR is just Rudra's story. Remember this was my primary problem with IPK? That show was only and only Arnav's story. Anjali's character had much more depth than that of Khushi although the latter was spared more screen space. Paro has not reached that level yet and thus I m still interested in the show and the plot line. But if this continues I can see exactly where this show might end... So yeah I would say that your post is a word of caution and CVs better pay heed.
