How many paintings it has! It seems like unending khazana 😆

It contains 116 miniature paintings, in 3 volumes, as per what is known at present.

The English translation is a normal sized book.
Vol -1 -> 660 plus pages
Vol -2 -> 540 plus
Vol -3 -> 1100 plus

These paintings were a part of the original manuscript of Akbarnama, depicting important events of Akbar's times. They were of normally Standard Size - As given on page-1 in the main post.

BTW, Another Painting -> Abu'l Fazl presenting Akbarnama to Akbar. 😃

Hi all.

We know that Maham had Adham Khan as her son. But, she also had another son, which i got to know recently. Though this is shocking to me also. But, i found this.

This 2nd son of Maham Anga was elder brother of Adham. His name was Muhammed Baqi Khan Koka. He had Garha area as his Jaagir. (More or less present day parts of East Gujarat and South-West Madhya Pradesh.)

And, he died around November 1584(11th month of Islamic Year 992, as per original Persian records, not the translated ones). Means he was alive after MA / Adham's death.

But, seems he too was highly temperamental like his brother, Adham.

Because,
He and his commanders were involved in a fight with TodarMal in the Battle of Khaerabad in 1565-66.😕 Though, they were supposed to pacify the Uzbek revolt, and sent by Akbar.

Reasons given are their personal grievance against Todarmal( and Muizul Mulk, one commander with TodarMal).

Accounts clearly mention, the enemy took advantage of this dispute and DESPITE TodarMal's firmness the war was LOST, due to infighting .!.

Official Royal accounts are silent/not mentioned this son of MA, afa i know.
I have not seen this issue in Abu'l Fazl's chronicles till now.

I want this son to be introduced ( even if they introduce later ). He is said to be having personal grievance against Todarmal. Hence, i found this interesting. So, shared here.
