I had absolutely no motivation to catch up to the last two episodes or so but now I do. I have shipped Steroline since this show began. From day 1. I loved them together and if we couldn't have Stefrine, it was Steroline for me. I'm so glad we see that happening now.
Caroline wasn't a character I really loved until she turned into a vampire and her character in the books wasn't good either but I remember an episode, i think the second episode, not sure, she tells Bonnie how she tries so hard but Elena does nothing and everyone just likes her. I had felt so bad for her then.
Elena is not worthy of either of the Salvatore brothers. Damon needs someone who can keep him grounded, who can prove to him that he matters, that he's a worthy being. Elena just does the exact opposite. She makes him feel like he's unworthy of her or anyone that can make him feel loved.
I feel the same. The repetition of the Katherine scenario is annoying and Elena doesn't look any better than her stringing both brothers along
Stefan, needs someone who can challenge him, who can teach him to live life and be selfish once in a while. He needs to learn to put himself before others, particularly, Elena. Caroline does that. She tells him over and over that he needs to think of HIM first. Then he should think about others. She gives him a reality check.
Caroline might just be that person.
To me, Steroline and Damon with someone more worthy, possibly Bonnie, because Bamon had something really nice going on in the books ;).. are perfect. Elena can go join her doppleganger ancestors for all I care.
I loved Bamon in the books. Of course Bonnie is completely different in the books but her dynamic with Damon in the books was something great. I think Damon may have even loved her in some way in the books. The constant doppelgangers popping out of nowhere is just like I keep waiting for Damon to meet his too 😆
Or maybe she needs a nice human like Matt again who can bring our fun loving, human, care free Elena back. Vampire-ism just doesn't work with her as it turns out. She's no Caroline or Katherine to pull it off so gracefully.
I had told my sister when Elena started to show she was attracted to Damon...it all spelled trouble from the start. So I said Elena should just end up with Matt at the end of it all.
