A few disclaimers apply (I wish I could read them to you in Om Puri's voice) :This thread will always and continue to be a platform for all thoughts and views and I invite all those who want to celebrate, debate, and vent about the episode to post here. I would only add I have seen a lot of extra views to my take 5 posts and I think people are looking for something controversial to call out.
I know all our thoughts are driven by our love for the show and our leads, so let us have it come out in the best way possible.
In the end of the day, this post and this forum, is for fun. So, let us all enjoy and have fun and celebrate our show!
I will try to respond to as many posts as I can ... But tomorrow, I will be out of the house for most of the day. In any case, will try by phone.
Wow, sorry, I guess I was inspired by the show in terms of disclaimer ... It gets longer and longer.😆
Let the celebrations begin! Here is my take 5, with a few funny takes in between (no offense meant to anyone):
(1) A refreshed Jalal: The recipe for refreshment ... One dip in the river! Today Jalal looked a lot fresher and fresher ... With his new found blessings from God and new Red kurta and hopeful direction to search the temple / ashram.
I feel refreshed too! 😊
A few funny observations:
- How many clothes did Jalal carry with him? Where did he carry them? At least Jodha had a potli. 😆
- How has this been going on for 10-12 days? Since when is our show so fast paced? During the Ben track, one night took like 5 days. Looks like CVs are quickening their pace.😉
- How many people lost their voice yelling at Jalal to run after Jodha? How could he not recognize her dupatta? I am so disappointed in him! And he didn't have to wear his shirt to run - I promise I wouldn't have minded 😉
(2) Maham Anga actually keeps the suspense ... I love how for a change the CVs are keeping the suspense of MA's plans ...when it came to Jodha, Maham Anga was always giving the plot away. I guess now that Javeda is close on her heels , she is more careful. If Javeda can reach her, who can't? 😕
But, I am still trying to guess who it is ... Of the predictions yesterday, Hamida Bano and Atgah Khan is out? The only prediction that was made yestersday that remains is Javeda ... How could Javeda possibly get her a farmaan? 😆
But honestly, it is great to have some actual suspense as the rest of the hide and seek is quite predictable. And, we also know that Maham Anga's end is near, so this is the final dhamakka ... Which brings me to the next thing in my countdown
(3) Atgah Khan in charge: I am excited that the CVs have finally given strong dialogues beyond the typical "Taleem ho." And boy did he deliver! I like how he stood up on behalf of the Shehenshah and stood up to both Adham Khan and Maham Anga to cooperate with the Investigation.
While I am happy the end of Adham Khan's conspiracies are near ... I also feel sad that means Atgah Khan's end is near as well. I am glad he had a moment to shine today! 👏
(4) Jodha saving Shehnaaz, Jalal saving Jodha: It was very symbolic to have a scene where a woman's izzat is questioned in public ... Shehnaaz goes to save her and Jodha goes to save Shehnaaz as the public starts pelting rocks ... Jalal comes and saves them both by covering Jodha in his arms ...A unknown back hug! 😳
- The fiesty spirit of Jodha that I love is back as she goes to save Shehnaaz by taking the rocks on herself ... 👏
- That explains the mystery of all three having the bruised marks on their forehead ... But why do all three have it in the same place? CVs some creativity please, at least in this. 😆
- Love how Jalal is protecting his Jodha ... Whether he knows it or not.
- While some may have thought the blood dripping from Jalal to Jodha's maang was over-dramatic ... I found it symbolic as it reminded me of a similar scene from the Mohan/tiger track when Jalal's blood fills Jodha's maang and she remembers the importance of her marriage vows 😳
- Love how Jodha recognizes Jalal's voice! and the shock and surprise in her face! Now, is it because he came looking for her or actually found her, that is to be translated tomorrow!
- Looks like widow remarriage reform may be in the way ... How could he be dressed as a commoner and not find a reform! But he needs to address the pilgrimage tax - it is standing in line first!
Boy, am I glad that Jodha went to protect Shehnaaz ... Imagine Jalal going to protect Shehnaaz directly! That would have sent us the wrong sanket. The little mercies of the CVs 😆
But, Shehnaaz definitely looks like a kabab me haddi - Jalal had basically recognized the Kanha in the ashram but Shehnaaz confused him by saying the murti is hers! Again, Jalal refuses to recognize his own gift- does he not remember the mor pankh and bansuri he gifted to Jodha! Even he seems to be suffering from short term memory loss.
And Jalal has followed Jodha's instructions to the T, he is all alone when he finds her - all his other companions have now dispersed.
Now, my question of the day: How does Jodha manage to get out from under Jalal without him recognizing her? That is quite a task. My guess is she will immediately veil herself. 😆
And how does Jalal not recognize the feel of Jodha and her dupatta. Jalal, a hint, she wore it on your momentous birthday ... The gift you never want to forget ... But you have obviously forgotten some details how you met the Awaam that day and what Jodha was wearing! Again short term memory loss!
(5) Precap: Jodha sees Jalal- half the milan is complete. A few things I liked:
- Jodha's hesitance to go forward to see Jalal but also leave where he is to go back to the ashram ... I hope the CVs show a beautiful dialogue to show her turmoil- something like:
"How I do want to come to you Shehenshah ... But I am not sure where our relationship stands after you shredded it with your distrust." Am I getting better at eye reading or what?
- Jalal is back to his collapsing self ... He looks ready to fall down again from his injuries ... Time to take a river dip again, me think
- Jodha runs to go catch him as he falters ... Loved the gesture and impulse that showed her love for him so openly
What bets that Shehnaaz catches Jalal first?
Now, if we are back to holi ... This is Jodha's second Holi after marriage ... What happened to their wedding anniversary? God, that maybe too much logic to ask the CVs.
