@ bold part: Jaya said it.

As for your argument, the fact is a doctor can help and suggest but the ultimate decision still rests on the patient. A doctor can prescribe medicines but he can't force the patient to take it, it's upto the patient to take it regularly. A doctor can suggest surgery as the best option but can't forcibly operate on the patient, that decision has to be taken by the patient himself.

I dont think people who are jinxed are trying to make decision of whether they want to come out of it or not... like the patienet is not trying to make a decision to live or die when he goes to a doctor, in which case your logic will work...😊😆 no in the cases we are discussing...

Ok I'll make it simpler...even if the patient wants to live, it's ultimately upto him to see that he follows the doctor's advice religiously, the doctor can advise him but can't really force him or do it for him.

Still thats not relevant since the question is a person in that state (sick) is not doing comparative analysis.... he is just gobbling the capsules.. or whatever that is....if the physical act of putting the capsule in the mout is what you are refering to.. thats hardly the point of discussion cos then we have to analyze the situation where the person forgot - now was it due to their subconscious disbelief?!!?...etc...
