I agree with most of you that Zakir is an equal competitor to Sandhya. His character was only butchered by the Cvs against all logic (cheating) in order to justify the winning of our perfect beendeeni who otherwise is underperforming. It's nothing else but a failure of the script - probably they didn't have any better idea how to justify her winning and keep Bhabo in a loop.
Someone also mentioned in another thread that such good cadets like the ones who defeated the naxals and saved their boss should not be wasted by working in some villages and catching petty thieves. Why not using their full potential and station them in Mumbai, Delhi, etc.? It is very unlikely that in real life Sandy would be stationed in a small town.
