| There are fans and then there are fans. Vishal Singh is a fan whose entire life revolves around worshipping his idol. Lucknow-based Vishal is perhaps the craziest fan Shah Rukh Khan can boast of having. Vishal eats, breathes and lives SRK. Right from legally changing his name to Vishahrukh Khan to driving down all the way from Lucknow to Mumbai with his pregnant wife so that she could be blessed by SRK, Vishahrukh has done it all.

Mushtaq Sheikh, author and close friend of SRK, says, "There's this crazy fan from Lucknow who has shocked us with his obsession for SRK. He has been a fanatic SRK fan for a long time now."
Another close friend of SRK, Sajid Khan says, "Vishal has also legally changed his name from Vishal Singh to Vishahrukh Khan. The extremity of his craziness shocks me. He also won a competition for being the biggest SRK fan in a TV show that I hosted."

Another source says, "One day, Vishahrukh travelled all the way from Lucknow and waited outside the stars bungalow Mannat. The house staff at Mannat invited the couple inside the star's house. When Shah Rukh returned from his shoot, he was amused to see Vishahrukh's craziness but he was more concerned about his wife's well-being. He also scolded Vishal for travelling all the way with his pregnant wife."
When we called Vishahrukh in Lucknow, (he has SRK's song 'Mitwa' from Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna as his caller tune), he said, "Yes. For me, Shah Rukh Khan is God. I did get my wife to Mumbai to meet him when she was pregnant so that he could bless her. And now that the baby is born, I have named him Raj Aryan because Raj was SRK's name in Mohabbatein and Aryan is his son's name. My daughter was named Simran after Kajol's character in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge."

"He took a lot of care of us when we met him. He also scolded me for driving all the way with my pregnant wife. He told me, 'You could have told me, I would have arranged a proper meeting instead of putting her through all this inconvenience'," said Vishahrukh.
Wasn't it a risky thing to do, given his wife's condition? He said, "It was a Santro car and SRK endorses the brand, so there was nothing to worry about. At home, I only buy brands that Shah Rukh promotes."
As if these steps weren't enough to prove how crazy Vishahrukh is about the star, here is more. Vishahrukh's homeopathy company is called Shah Rukh Khan Force while his bungalow is called Shah Rukh Khan Palace. "I have Shah Rukh Khan's pictures on every possible surface in my house, from plates to the television screen, on cupboards and even in my bathroom," says Vishahrukh.

Mushtaq adds, "Vishahrukh's house is a major landmark in Lucknow. People recognise him as a SRK fan. The exteriors of his house have full-blown SRK posters. Even the ceiling and the ceiling fan are covered with SRK pictures. The bathroom and the bed too are not spared. The made-to-order curtains also have SRK's pictures on them." |
