This post is obviously going to be about the first 20 minutes or so.
I really wanted a Zain POV and I am so glad we got one. Whoever wrote these lines is brilliant. Both their POV were beautiful but Zain's was wondering.
I loved some lines in the episode
If she wasn't in my life, I would have missed out on living and what beautiful flashbacks to follow. I don't think anyone expected Zain Abdulaah to say this to the girl he married, the girl he hated and the girl he wanted out of his life.
Another one was in the end, that he does not want to let go of "their friendship" because he's used to it. Seriously one of the best lines of the episode. It was so beautiful.
I loved how they maintained the character and did not go in mushy route. He started with his classic "Mamu ki Bhanji" and called several other names ; crackpot being one. Zain always thinks Aliya is in love with him and the way he acted was really good. Harshad was superb in the last wedding sequence and his comic timing was epic in this one.
Another one would be the double nikaah joke. Zain thinks the best punishment for Aliya is to tie her down with him for the rest of his life. What a beautiful line and especially where he's like now I won';t let her run away. Some of these lines were foreshadow and makes me totally believe that if Barkat is indeed negative, she won't be able to do much. She will bring them even more closer.
Special shoutout to the scene where Aliya congratulates Zain for the wedding and he's like I didn't marry youš
I skipped the whole Barkat track, I guess it's because I am not a fan of the actor much and I felt it was so dragged for the first time. I rather would have had more ZaYa scenes that find Barkat.
On another note, what ever happened to DNA testing? How can they just randomly believe this is Barkat. Meer Khan can easily get a girl to act as Barkat and the real one could be god knows where.š
Waiting for tomorrow's episode to see splendid performances from Suchitra and Naved.
