Hrithik out, Ranbir in?

It seems Excel Entertainment's time-travel drama is turning out be a classic game of musical chairs. After Aamir Khan opted out of the film, to be directed by Nitya Mehra, Hrithik had stepped in to his shoes.
Now, we hear that Hrithik is on his way out too. Revealed a source close to the production, "Hrithik has already agreed to do Ashutosh Gowariker's period epic, Mohenjo-Daro. The time when Ashutosh's film goes on floor clashes with Excel's time-travel drama. He can only choose one out of the two."
Added the source, "Now they are looking for another A-lister. They are planning to approach Ranbir Kapoor for the same role. It remains to be seen if he agrees to do it."
The film in question falls in the science fiction genre and the production house plans to put the film on floors early next year.
Despite repeated attempts, Excel Entertainment's head honcho, Ritesh Sidhwani remained unavailable for comment.
