Akshay and Abhishek in Housefull 3

Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala has managed a coup. He has roped in Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan, after a gap of nearly 12 years, for the next film Housefull 3 in his super-successful franchise.
The film will be writer duo Sajid-Farhad's second directorial venture. Their debut, It's Entertainment, is scheduled for an August 2014 release.
A source says, "The Housefull franchise is a promising one in the masala entertainment space. Housefull 2 is in the '100-crore club. Sajid plans to keep it going till the time he is able to rope in exciting actor combinations. Also, as long as he is able to find entertaining scripts."
Akshay has been in both the earlier films of the franchise. But this time around, the coup lies in Akki's combination with Abhishek, with whom he was last seen in the romantic drama, Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya (2002). Incidentally, Abhishek and Karisma Kapoor, the leading lady of HMBPK, were dating back then. It will be truly interesting to see Akshay and Abhishek in a comedy of errors. Sajid remained unavailable for comment.
