'Baawli ladki' I thought to myself as I tended to my baapusa. What did she think of herself ? Change myself just for some stupid girl ? Love her ? Love ? 'Yeh mujhe jaanti bhi hai kya ?' I thought,irritated beyond anything.
'Ek haath pe mere Kaakisa jo mere jaan ke piche padi hai aur dusre haath pe yeh ladki, ab thodi hi dinon main, main baawla ho jaunga' , I grunted to myself.
And suddenly I saw her through the window of my room. There she was,standing just in that pose. I ignored her. 'Main tho uski taraf dekhunga bhi nahin,yeh yahi chahthi hai ' I decided grimly.
I looked at my baapusa,just willing him to get up,to hear his voice again ,to shout at him for leaving me in a lurch like that and glared at him in frustration.
And then I heard her chanting 'Om nama shivaya' and I now came to a conclusion that she was bent on annoying me for sure. I tried to tune her out.
I started drifting... Suddenly,I heard Kakusa's voice telling me something which I had been yearning to hear all along! Baapusa was conscious!!
I felt my knees buckle out of shock,tears welling in my eyes. 'Baapusa,aap waapas aa gaye hain' My heart was swelling with joy.
He was talking to me,I hoped this wasn't a dream.' Par Ranawat woh ladki ko dekhna chahtha hai ? Par kyun ?' I thought incredulously.
And I then saw her. Standing right there. Drenched from head to toe. I froze.
I ran to her !! 'Yeh ladki !!! '
And there she was,shivering like a winter stalk ,as white as chalk and my heart nearly stopped. 'Kya yeh theek hai ?!! '
I went to her,took her in my arms. I shouted at her and she smiled at me. Smiled ?' Has rahi hai ye ?! '
She was happy that I had come. Not angry that I hadn't come sooner.
I looked at her and could not take my eyes off her.
'Kaisi aurat hai ye ? Aur mujhe kyun dard ho raha hai ise ye haalat main dekhne se ?' '
'Kya woh mujhe badal rahi hai,mere jaane bina ? '
'Mujhe,Rudra Pratap Ranawat ko ? '
